🚨‼️That’s a wrap on the 2026 summer season at the Mary & Tedd Mascott Welcome Center at the Zenda Farms Creamery!

🐑Zenda Farms Creamery is now closed for the season, which means our previously scheduled sheep demonstration on August 21 will no longer take place. Thank you for your understanding, and thank you to everyone who visited us this summer!

In the meantime, there’s still plenty to explore at Zenda Farms Preserve! 🌾

Beautiful Zenda Farms 😍

If you haven't been here it's definitely worth a look. Zenda Farms Preserve is a 405-acre historic agricultural property located on Zenda Road just outside the village of Clayton, NY. Managed by the Thousand Islands Land Trust (TILT), it features rare curved silver Jamesway steel barns, a 1.35-mile non-motorized public trail, and seasonal sheep-herding demonstrations.

📣 Zenda Farms Summer Hours Update! 🌾

Please be aware that the hours for the Mary & Ted Mascott Welcome Center at the Zenda Farms Creamery have changed for the remainder of the summer season.

The Creamery will be open 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. on the following days:

🚜 This past Friday, Zenda Farms hosted its second barn tour of the season, including a special visit from Hart Cornaire and his daughter, Wendy Vincent.

Originally from Rosiere, near Cape Vincent, Hart has a long history with the farm. At just 15 years old, he began working at Zenda Farms in 1951 alongside owner Merle Youngs and farm manager Clinton Maldoon. From driving tractors to tackling daily farm chores, Hart helped keep the farm running and created memories that have stayed with him for more than 70 years.

Hart also worked with Clinton's son, Lyle Maldoon, who joined one of our barn tours last year to share his own stories and memories of life at Zenda.

It's moments like these that remind us Zenda Farms isn't just a beautiful Preserve, it's a place where history lives on through the people who helped shape it. 🌾

🐑 There's nothing quite like watching these incredible dogs work with their flock. Come see the teamwork, skill, and instinct in action!🐾

💡 Fun Fact: Border Collies don't rely on barking to move sheep. Instead, they use an intense, focused "eye" and subtle body movements to communicate with the flock—making them one of the world's most intelligent and effective herding breeds.
