🇺🇸 NEVER FORGOTTEN — SEPTEMBER 11, 2001 🇺🇸

The Clayton Police Department honors the 2,977 lives lost on September 11, 2001, and remembers the firefighters, law enforcement officers, first responders, military members, and citizens who showed extraordinary courage and sacrifice.

Twenty-five years later, we continue to honor the fallen, remember the families forever changed, and recognize the heroes who ran toward danger.

We will never forget. 🇺🇸

🇺🇸 **Labor Day Weekend is here, Clayton!** 🇺🇸

The grills are fired up, the lake is calling, and Rabun County is about to get a whole lot busier. 😎

While you’re enjoying the long weekend, the **Clayton Police Department will be increasing traffic enforcement**. We’ll be watching for speeding, impaired driving, distracted driving, and other unsafe behavior.

👮‍♂️ **We’re not here to ruin your weekend.** In fact, we’d much rather wave at you than pull you over. But if you give us a reason to turn on the blue lights… **well, you’ve officially been warned.** 🚔😉

Slow down. Buckle up. Put the phone down. And if you drink, **don’t drive.**

Have fun, enjoy the mountains, and make it home safely.

**Because the only thing we want you getting stopped for this weekend is to stop and enjoy the view.** 😂

🇺🇸 **Happy Labor Day from the Clayton Police Department!**
