IFPL Update for Zones 675 & 680 🔥
As of 12:01 a.m., we’ve moved from IFPL Level 3 to Level 2. This means general shutdown restrictions have been lifted, but Level 2 rules are now in effect.
Allowed ONLY between 8 p.m.–1 p.m:
• Power saws (except at loading sites)
• Cable yarding
• Blasting
• Welding or cutting of metal
A mandatory 1‑hour fire watch is still required after 1 p.m.
Even though IFPL levels have dropped, we are still in fire season, and the county burn ban remains in effect. Homeowners and operators can still be held liable for fires — even accidental ones. Please continue to use caution, stay alert, and practice common‑sense fire safety when operating any equipment.
📍 Reminder:
These IFPL requirements apply to homeowners on private lands and contractors working on private properties under DNR jurisdiction across unincorporated Kittitas County. They do NOT apply within the city limits of Cle Elum, Ellensburg, Roslyn, or South Cle Elum.
Thank you for helping keep our community safe. 🌲
