Reminder for those attending Thursdays on Main, please do not block the roads with chairs or blankets until the area is completely closed. Vendors and event staff need access to setup for you. The event begins at 6pm and live music begins at 7pm so there is plenty of time to find your spot.

Thursdays On Main kicks off tonight and we couldn't be more excited!!! For more information check out the Clear Lake, Iowa page.

Roads will start to close around 430 PM this afternoon. All vehicles need to be moved out of the yellow and red highlighted areas on the map.

Do not park within the road closure area or your vehicle may be subject to a citation or impoundment.

Remember to obey all traffic signs, Road Closed means ROAD IS CLOSED to all vehicle traffic.

Today the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force Special Operations Group will be training in Clear Lake. If you see a large police presence there is no need for concern, it is simply a training exercise. Officers will be training in the area of North Shore Dr. and Buddy Holly at the Lighthouse Court Motel and in the area of 7th Ave N and N 3rd St.

Hi Facebook world! I have someone lost my way. The very nice police officer picked me up in the area of S 8th St and 7th Ave S. The fun part is that I got to check out the police department, the not so fun part is that I miss my family.

As a reminder, Clear Lake residents can drop off yard waste at the City’s collection site:

📍 1419 2nd Ave. S.

This site is available for residential use only and is intended for residents disposing of their own yard waste. Commercial tree services and landscaping businesses are not permitted to use this site.

✔️ Accepted items include:
• Leaves & grass clippings
• Flowers, vines, garden waste, walnuts & acorns
• Sticks & branches (up to 6” in diameter & 15’ long)

❗ Please do not leave plastic bags at the site.
