๐Ÿ’™ Community Service in Action!

We are incredibly grateful to two wonderful groups that recently volunteered their time to help care for our community!

Last Saturday, Scouts from throughout the Winnebago Council, Scouting America helped clean up Clear Lakeโ€™s beachfront, collecting more than 60 pounds of garbage. Their hard work made a tremendous difference!

Today, students and teachers from Newman Catholic High School worked alongside our Parks staff to prepare the Outlet Recreation Area for fall sports, including flag football, soccer and other events. Together, they spread 70 cubic yards of material throughout the play area to improve its safety and appearance.

A special thank-you to Father Binder, Mrs. Knipper and Mrs. Andersen for choosing Clear Lake for your service projectโ€”and to all the Scouts, students, teachers and leaders who generously gave their time. You were an absolute pleasure to work with!

Thank you for helping keep Clear Lake clean, safe and welcoming for everyone. We appreciate you to the moon and back! ๐ŸŒ™

๐Ÿ’ฆ๐ŸŽ‰ THE SPLASH PAD IS BACK! ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’ฆ

We know how much our community has missed the Everybody Plays Playground Splash Pad while it has been down for repairs, so we are especially excited to share that it is officially back up and running!

The replacement part arrived this morning, and our crew got it installed and the water turned on as quickly as possible.

Thank you for your patience while we worked to get this favorite summer spot flowing again. Now grab the kids, pack the towels, and head to 109 S. 15th St. for some splashing, laughing, and much-needed summer fun! โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ’ง

The water is on, the fun is flowing, and we canโ€™t wait to see everyone enjoying it again!

๐ŸŒณ Good day, Clear Lake!

Here are a few updates from the Parks Department as we continue working to keep our parks and seasonal amenities safe, welcoming and enjoyable for everyone.

๐Ÿ’ฆ Everybody Plays Splash Pad
The splash pad remains closed while we wait for a replacement controller after the original was damaged by lightning. We are hopeful the new part will arrive by Monday and that the splash pad can reopen soon afterward. Thank you for your continued patience!

๐Ÿพ Dog Park
A new hydrant was installed Monday, and a temporary repair has the dog fountains working better for our four-legged visitors. Permanent replacement parts are currently backordered, but we are glad to have a temporary solution in place.

๐ŸŒฑ City Park
A major sewer repair was completed Wednesday near the stage. Please stay out of the newly seeded areas while the grass becomes established. These areas will be watered daily and may be muddy for a while.

๐Ÿ–๏ธ City Beach
Recent flash flooding caused significant erosion along the beach. Crews have reinforced the boulder areas and added approximately 150โ€“200 tons of sand to repair and protect the shoreline.

๐ŸŒณ Tree Removal & Replacement
Some trees throughout our parks will need to be removed due to damage caused by emerald ash borer. We have already planted replacement trees in several locations, and additional trees will be planted in appropriate areas as we continue this work.

We appreciate your patience as our crews safely remove affected trees and help protect the long-term health and beauty of our parks. We would also like to thank Deb Tesar and Trees Forever for their continued partnership and for helping provide many of the trees found throughout our parks and streetscapes.

๐ŸŠ Aquatic Center
The pool is operating well, the water is looking great and the heater is keeping temperatures between approximately 79 and 82 degrees. We love seeing the Aquatic Center busy, so come out and enjoy it while the season lasts!

โ˜€๏ธ Summer is moving quickly, and school will be here before we know it. Clear Lake has approximately 70 acres of parks to explore, many with modern playground equipment and updated restrooms. We encourage everyone to get outside and enjoy all that our community has to offer!

Thank you for your patience, support and care for our parks. Please feel free to contact me directly with any questions.

๐ŸŒŠ 7/10/26 at 12:00 City Beach Update โ€” Fully Open!

City Beach quickly became a popular place to be on this beautiful weekend, so the entire beach is now open for everyone to enjoy! โ˜€๏ธ

Our crews will return to finish the remaining cleanup work on the north end another day when the beach is less busy. This will allow them to complete the work safely while keeping as much of City Beach available to the community as possible.

Thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout the cleanup process. We hope you enjoy a wonderful weekend by the lake!

๐ŸŒŠ Good News from City Beach!

The south side of City Beach is cleaned up, open, and ready for you to enjoy! โ˜€๏ธ

Today, our crews are shifting their storm cleanup efforts to the north end of the beach. There is still plenty of room to enjoy the beach, but we ask everyone to please stay outside the coned-off areas, keep a safe distance from equipment, and give our team plenty of space to finish the work safely.

Thank you for helping us balance cleanup efforts with keeping City Beach open for the community. We appreciate your patienceโ€”and hope you enjoy some time by the lake!

๐ŸŒŠ City Beach Storm Cleanup Update

The south side of City Beach is currently closed while our crews work on storm cleanup.

Later today, the north side of the beach will also be closed so cleanup efforts can continue safely and efficiently.

Please help us by steering clear of the coned-off areas and giving our team members plenty of room to work. We appreciate everyoneโ€™s patience and cooperation as we get City Beach cleaned up and ready for the community to enjoy again.

Thank you!

๐Ÿพ Dog Park Update ๐Ÿพ

A quick heads up for our four-legged friends and their humans: the dog water fountain at the Clear Lake Dog Park is currently turned off while repairs are being made.

The Dog Park at the Outdoor Recreation Complex is a favorite place for pups to play, run, and enjoy time outside, and we know the water fountain is an important amenity โ€” especially on warm summer days.

We hope to have it back up and running soon. In the meantime, please plan ahead and bring water for your dog when visiting the park.

Thank you for your patience and understanding as repairs are completed!
