We have opportunities available to all patrons, including our education section. This section includes curriculum for the Common Core subjects, as well as other subjects such as music, art, and more. This, along with other information, will be provided during tomorrow's Homeschool meeting. This meeting is geared towards ALL homeschool families. We hope to see you tomorrow here... at the library!

Calling ALL Homeschooling families, or families who are considering homeschooling this year....

Join us on August 20th from 6:30- 7:15 p.m. as we have our 2026-2027 Fall Parents' meeting. We will talk about homeschooling and our year ahead of Homeschool Gatherings here at the Library every 2nd and 4th Tuesday of the month.

This group is intended for social and educational purposes, and are open to all families who are interested in learning more.

Lots of fun things happening this week at the Library, like our office getting a new color of paint...or the kids' section getting completely revamped into a wonderful easy format to use!

But we also have a few classes happening as we get ready for Fall.
Tonight our dehydrating/rebel canning class will be at 6pm! See you there if you signed up for it! We will be in the Library tonight since the kitchen/building will be hosting their monthly council meeting. :D

Boy, it smells GOOD in the Library! Don't forget to join us from 6-7pm today until the food is gone! Then have the kids stay for our end-of-summer Movie in the Library (Ice Age), OR join us in the park at 9pm for an epic outside movie experience and watch the classic Jurassic Park with RC Pro Audio!!!

Don't forget to join us tomorrow night! From 6 to 7 we will be hosting our free dinner! Then we will be hosting 2 movies; the first, Ice Age, will be in the library starting at 7:15! Then we will be hosting down in the Clear Lake City Park, which will start at 9:00! We hope to see you all there.

TWO DAYS! And it is all FREE!

Come join us Thursday for a wonderful end to the summer, as we partner with multiple businesses around Clear Lake for a special event to remember!
FREE Dinner because of the generosity of DNB National Bank from 6 pm until 7! We will have enough for 150 people, so please come join us here at the City Building for a wonderful meal (details below).
AFTERWARDS...kids will have a FREE movie in the Library from 7:15 to end, and watch Ice Age as our last summer movie together.
At 9pm AT THE PARK, we will be pairing with RC Pro Audio to put on an amazing FREE Jurassic Park Experience with surround sound, next to the shelter! Bring blankets or your favorite camping chair, some bug spray, and come join us for an awesome FREE experience to end your summer!

Don't worry about driving anywhere or spending money to have a good end-of-summer experience for you and your loved ones, just come join us and enjoy the experience with your community!

Details: Meal choice will be Pulled Pork sandwiches/Baked Beans/Chips/Water or for the kids: DIno Nuggets/Chips/Baked Beans and water. We wll also have some candy and sodas leftover from the SRP prizes available for $1 each at the 9 pm movie if anyone wants an inexpensive snack!

Come join us tonight if your child was in our Summer Reading Program! Party starts at 5 and is an open house until 7! There will be food, music, face painting, and fun small gifts.
Kids will receive their prizes unless they are in the top 12 (which we will reveal tonight at the party), and then those lucky kids will receive books of their choice as their main prize!
We watched this week as the page numbers went from 180k, to 195k OVERNIGHT the next day, to THIS today as final numbers rolled in! Just.....WOW!!! 84 children read this many pages in 8 weeks, and some of them joined the program late!
Give those kids some encouragement in the comments if you can, or if you know a kid who has been reading for treats and books!!!!

You've made it to the end of our Summer Reading Program. The official page count will be released later today, along with all of our winners.

Don't forget to join us for our Summer Reading Party tonight from 5 to 7pm. Prizes will be handed out during the party, though they will also be made available during the 1st week of August.
