Today we honor and remember retired EMT Missy Huling for her incredible 19.5 years of dedicated service to the Clear Lake Fire Department.
Missy joined the department on December 19, 2005, and was part of the original crew when the department launched its ambulance service. From day one, she set the standard for what it means to serve your community with heart, commitment, and pride.
Missy was always going above and beyond around the station. She never sat still—whether it was cleaning, organizing, or pulling weeds, she took care of the firehouse like it was her own home. A talented artist, Missy also left a lasting mark by painting a beautiful mural in the new fire station after the department moved in.
Even after retiring from the Fire Department on July 13th, 2025, her dedication didn’t stop. Missy continued to give back as a member of the Clear Lake Fire Association, always willing to help wherever she was needed.
On April 12, 2026, we lost Missy, but her impact on this department and the Clear Lake community will never be forgotten. Known for her constant smile and positive spirit, she touched countless lives throughout her years on the ambulance.
Missy will truly be missed, but her legacy of service, kindness, and commitment will live on in all of us.
Thank you, Missy, for everything you have done.
