EDIT: the latch was tied shut, the library is empty, the entire thing has a bungee cord around it. It is clearly not in use. Also this person dumped a 1959 Gregg Shorthand guide and all of Dale Carnegie’s greatest hits. This was not somebody sharing a love of books. This was somebody using my library as a trash receptacle. All of the books are now in the trash.

STOP! JUST STOP! This library is closed until I can get much needed repairs done. Whomever decided to pull that closing strap down and load it with books know that I do not appreciate this. Your books will be removed immediately.

When something is empty and has a physical barrier to opening it that means you should leave it alone. I have also made numerous posts about it being closed. The post that this library is one is rotting. I do not want it to break. I do not want it to fall. Therefore it’s closed until it’s fixed. I do not want to hang a sign on it as the tape will mar the plexiglass.

There's a new Little Free Library in Clearfield! It is in the Susquehanna Terrace neighborhood on Mitchell Road. They will have a FB page soon and we will share that here. Until then please make sure to stop by and utilize this amazing community resource.

You have to wonder if the same people drop things off at other closed businesses/sites.

Anyway again, this library is closed as evidenced by it being empty and securely bungeed shut. Do not leave donations at this time. Please take any donations to one of the many other Little Free Libraries in Clearfield.

I am not putting a closed sign on it as the tape adhesive will mar the plexiglass. But it is evidently not in use at this time. So a sign is unnecessary for most people.

Whomever is leaving garbage propaganda from The Heritage Foundation and Turning Point USA I need you to stop it. As would be clear to anybody with half a brain cell this Library is currently out of commission. If I see you doing this I will step out and have a word.

After almost 14 years standing out in all kinds of weather this old girl needs some work. Until that can happen she will be closed. I do have a contractor to do the work. But I need to be patient and go with his schedule. I will post as soon as I am able to reopen her.
