Hello everyone the Recovery Scholars Club will be hosting a event at the Lake County Campus of Woodland Community College on March 12th from 11am to 1pm. The purpose of the event will be to highlight services, resources and opportunities for those who were previously incarcerated and those those in recovery.
This event is open to the public and is free to attend. We will have several guest speakers such as, Ray Buenaventura with the Lake County Public Defender's office. Ray will be offering free expungement services for anyone with a record in Lake county. Also attending will be the Underground Scholars Initiative (A Prison to University pipeline) they will be talking about the services and resources that they offer at all UC campus. The Underground Scholars is a great opportunity for previously incarcerated or system impacted individuals to make their way to getting a higher education. We will also be hearing from Mr. Randall Cole, CEO and Founder of The Coletrain Transformation Station, who does awesome local work with people in recovery

This survey will help LCBHS to understand how well MHSA-funded programs, services, and activities meet the community’s behavioral health needs, and identify opportunities to strengthen MHSA-funded services. The Lake County behavioral health system includes a broad range of mental health and substance use disorder services. Your feedback is essential to inform Lake County’s MHSA Annual Update.
The Deadline to complete the survey is 2-18-24. Please help guide the future services funded by Lake County's MHSA Program.

September 10-16 is Su***de Prevention Week

In recognition of this week and to let the community know they are not alone, Lake County Behavioral Health Services (LCBHS) will host a movie in the Museum Park in Lakeport from 6:30 pm - 9pm.

LCBHS staff will be at the event with linkage to available resources and a smile. We hope to see you there.
