NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR NEBRASKA AFFORDABLE HOUSING TRUST FUNDS
CORE is requesting Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Funds (NAHTF) funds in the amount of $300,000 in order to undertake owner-occupied rehabilitation (OOR) of 12 total homes. Activities include $250,000 in OOR; $30,000 for housing management; and $20,000 for general administration. The total amount of requested NAHTF funds is $300,000. CORE will be matching $72,000 of local funds ($50,000 for OOR and $22,000 for housing management). With the match, the total project cost will be $372,000. Proposed project activities will be any approved activities outlined in CORE's Program Guidelines that will bring the home up to minimum rehabilitation standards. The project will serve homeowners that meet the established 100% Area Median Income (AMI) for Holt and Antelope County criteria, which are outlined in CORE's Program Guidelines. Priority points are given to those who meet the following criteria:
• Meet the 100% AMI Limit for Holt and Antelope County
• Are an Elderly/Handicapped/Disabled Applicant
• Bring the home into Section 8 Existing NDED Rehabilitation Standards
• Eliminate hazardous conditions
Once applicants are approved for rehabilitation, the home must be brought up to NDED minimum rehabilitation standards at an amount not to exceed $25,000. If a beneficiary has a CORE loan, they must be current on the CORE loan. Additional housing rehabilitation assistance when coupled with the outstanding balance of the beneficiary's existing CORE loan shall not exceed $25,000. Rehabilitation activities will occur in any of the 11 CORE communities of Brunswick, Chambers, Clearwater, Ewing, Inman, Elgin, Neligh, Oakdale, Orchard, Page, and Royal.
