Attention, incoming 6th graders!

As you get ready for your next chapter at CFMS, it's time for your summer reading challenge! All incoming 6th graders at CFMS are required to read Restart by Greg Korman and complete the accompanying Escape Room assignment. The assignment can be accessed through the Summer Reading Challenge on Clever or through the attached document and must be completed by August 10.
All students received a copy of the novel at their 5th-grade promotion ceremony. Additional copies are available through Sora (on Clever), your local library, or bookstores.

Just like the main character in Restart gets a chance to start fresh and grow, this is your opportunity to keep your reading and analytical skills strong for your "fresh start" in middle school! As you read, annotate important details about the characters, plot, and themes. We'll use those observations during class discussions and a quiz during the first week of school.

Students attending the CFMS 6th Grade Bootcamp will get a head start on the assignment during camp! There is still space available to attend the weeks of 6/11 or 6/18!

Attention Rising 7th and 8th graders...

Your summer mission, should you choose to accept it (and all rising 7th and 8th graders must!), is to read City Spies by James Ponti and complete the accompanying Escape Room "Mission" assignment. The assignment can be accessed through the Summer Reading Challenge on Clever or through the attached document. The assignment must be completed by August 10th.
As a future CFMS spy, your mission is to keep your reading and analytical skills sharp over the summer. Be sure to annotate as you read, gathering clues, tracking important details, and preparing for both class discussions and a quiz during the first week of school.

All students received a copy of the novel through their ELA class. Additional copies are available in the CFMS front office or digitally through Sora.

Our students are getting super excited for the 8th Grade Dance 😊 Here are a few important reminders for families:

• Students may check out early, but must be picked up after 11:30 AM
• Please call the office or send a note by Wednesday if your child will be picked up
• We are aware that Osceola Fundamental High School has graduation the same day — families attending should contact administration for an excused absence

We are proud to announce that several of our students have been selected for publication in the PCS Write Down the Middle Annual Writing Journal! Their writing was reviewed by district judges and chosen for this special honor.

🎨 Congratulations to Our Pre-AP Art Students! 🎨

We are proud to celebrate our talented Pre-AP art students!

Last week, 15 students had their artwork recognized and displayed at the Dunedin Fine Arts Center as part of the Taking Shape Artist showcase.

Seeing their creativity featured in a professional gallery setting is an incredible achievement. Way to represent our school with talent and pride! 👏🖌️
