Saving water has never looked so delicious. 🐊💧
Follow the journey from frozen gator to crispy gator nuggets at Whiskey Joe’s. Their new food-defrosting technology recirculates water during the thawing process and saves up to 2,000 gallons every day. It also gets the job done in half the time while maintaining food-safe thawing temperatures.

The restaurant is the first business to receive a Tampa Bay Water Wise rebate for this technology, proving that small changes in the kitchen can make a big difference for water conservation. To learn more about all the rebates we offer, visit tampabaywaterwise.org

Curiosity was flowing at IGNITE! Science Festival at Great Explorations Children’s Museum! 🔥💧

Young explorers stopped by to create water cycle bracelets and discover how water moves through our environment, from rainfall and wetlands to the water that comes from our taps. Families learned how wetlands help replenish our water supply, naturally filter pollutants and support Florida’s unique ecosystems.

It was exciting to see so many future scientists, engineers and environmental stewards exploring the connections between nature, water and conservation while celebrating science, creativity and discovery.

We're expanding our Regional Surface Water Treatment Plant to add up to 12.5 million gallons per day of drinking water to the regional system.💧

Enhancing existing infrastructure and optimizing proven treatment technologies helps meet future water demands while making the most of the region's water sources.

Since 2002, the facility has transformed water from the Alafia River, Hillsborough River and Tampa Bypass Canal into high-quality drinking water for our communities. Surface water was the first alternative source added to the Tampa Bay region's drinking water supply and remains a key part of our diverse water system. 💦
