Today is Holocaust Survivor Day and in celebration we've had the privilege of bringing Holocaust survivors from across Tampa Bay together.

Holocaust Survivor Day is a special time to recognize the lives that endured, the stories that continue to inspire us, and the resilience that has carried generations forward.

Through music, fellowship, laughter, and shared memories, survivors are celebrated not only for what they endured, but for the lives they built, the families they raised, and the lasting impact they continue to have on our community. While we can never forget the tragedy of the Holocaust, Holocaust Survivor Day reminds us to celebrate the courage, perseverance, and determination of those who survived.

We are grateful to the Jewish Federation of Florida's Gulf Coast and the Seed the Dream Foundation for helping make this meaningful celebration possible.

We are so thankful to our community partners for helping those in need! 💙

There are nearly 200,000 Holocaust survivors still living around the world today, and many are aging, isolated, and in need of urgent care.

With donations to the Holocaust Survivor Urgent Care Fund, Gulf Coast JFCS helps survivors in the Tampa Bay area remain safe, independent, and treated with dignity in their own homes for as long as possible.

Thanks to a generous matching gift funded by KAVOD/SHEF, every donation will be matched dollar-for-dollar and help support local Holocaust survivors living in Greater Tampa in need of urgent care. Funds raised to support the Gulf Coast JFCS Holocaust Survivor Urgent Care Fund are raised in partnership with the Jewish Federation of Florida's Gulf Coast and Jewish Tampa.

For many, this means access to urgently needed homecare, transportation, and daily living assistance.

Your gift is more than a donation, it's a way to honor their stories, preserve their dignity, and ensure they are not forgotten.

We spend a lot of time highlighting the incredible people we serve and the impact our programs have in the community. However, that impact starts with passionate people behind-the-scenes!

To celebrate our incredible team of staff, we are kicking off a new employee spotlight series. 🌟

Tune in to meet Courtney Chordas, Community Engagement Specialist for St Pete Hubs. When she's not connecting St. Pete community members to mental health resources, you can find her at home, sharing a meal with her kids.

From meaningful work to fun rapid-fire questions, get to know the crew behind the mission and learn more about the individuals that make Gulf Coast JFCS so special 💙
