Because of supporters like you, the Children's Advocacy Center can continue to provide children who have suffered abuse with justice, hope and healing.

Early giving for North Texas Giving Day begins today and runs through Thursday, September 17, 2026.

We’re working toward $7,500 to help us to continue to provide free prevention education to children, parents, and families throughout our Johnson County community, empowering children with the knowledge and tools they need to recognize abuse, ask for help, and stay safe.

As kids head back to school, it’s a great time for parents to check in with their children and see how they’re doing, not just academically, but emotionally and mentally, too.

NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) has some great tips and tools to help parents start meaningful conversations with their kids. Below is “10 Questions on a Tuesday” to help get you started.

A simple question can open the door to an important conversation. Take a few minutes to check in, listen, and let your child know you’re there for them.

This past Saturday, our Family Advocates had the pleasure of attending the Johnson County Apples Coalition Back to School Giveaway to help support local students and families as they prepare for the new school year.

It was wonderful meeting so many families and sharing information about the services we provide at the Children's Advocacy Center of Johnson County. Thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth to visit with us. We truly enjoyed connecting with you!

When shared online, those details can give an unknown person a lot more information about your child than you might think.

A heartfelt thank you to the Johnson County Association of Realtors for once again partnering with the Children's Advocacy Center to help our children start the new school year with confidence.

Each year, their generosity provides backpacks and new shoes for children in our services, giving them the opportunity to walk into the classroom feeling prepared, confident, and ready to learn. These thoughtful gifts are so much more than school supplies, they remind our children that their community cares about them and believes in their future.
