Fawn Season

WILDLIFE WATCH!!! Fawns are appearing in the park. If you see a fawn on its own, and looks abandoned, it is probably not. Its momma is more than likely around. Leave it alone.

This is the sunset on August 25, 2019, viewed from the scenic overlook on the east side of Cedar Lake. I love that spot because the lake reflects the colors in the sky. It was dusty at the time, which makes for nice sunsets. Cameras can make a sunrise or sunset look more beautiful or less beautiful than it actually is, but this photograph is accurate. This is just about what it actually looked like. It was one of the most beautiful sunsets, one of the most beautiful sites of any kind, I've ever seen.
Looks like a great place Tom!
So glad you all are open! Thank you for the great day. Went out hiking and had a blast.
I'm wondering if it would help with social distancing if you opened up a couple of the camping loops for day use, since there's no camping right now. There sure were alot of people packed into the day use areas today.
This year's bluebonnets at a cemetery in my hometown of Cleburne,TX
With all this covid 19 are y'all still open?
This was taken today on the Coyote trail. Entry for your weekly photo contest. Beautiful day showing spring is here.
This is my entry for the photo challenge. The park often has beautiful sunsets. This was sunset Wednesday viewed from the scenic overlook on the east side of the lake.
Really like this park. Small, but great for kayaking and riding bike.😁
Do I need to obtain a permit for photography in the park. If so, where do I purchase permit? I do it mostly as a hobby and for free, but on occasion people do pay me.
