We were honored to attend a memorial ceremony host at The Rock in Cleburne. As it was stated by Sheriff King and the many speakers today, it is our responsibility to never forget that infamous day, the civilians who lost their lives and the first responders who paid the ultimate sacrifice. God Bless America. 🇺🇸

09/11/2019

18 years ago today, we as a Nation, were rocked by the news of a cowardly attack perpetrated upon our country. At 8:46 am, American Airlines Flight 11 was deliberately crashed into Tower 1 of the World Trade Center by terrorists. At 9:03 am United Airlines Flight 175 was crashed into Tower 2. And at 9:37 am American Airlines Flight 77 was crashed into the Pentagon. 2,977 people lost their lives that day and over 6000 people were injured. 343 Firefighters and 71 Law Enforcement Officers made the ultimate sacrifice, while saving the lives of civilians caught inside the towers. These terrorists sought to attack our country and cause panic and fear. Instead we banded together as Americans, and showed them our strength, as a nation and a people. We know life keeps us busy, and our differences can feel so vast. But take some time today and remember those who lost their lives that day. And remember the moment on 9/12 when we, as a Nation, stood side by side as Americans and swore we'd......NEVER FORGET. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🚒🚓🇺🇸🇺🇸

Texas Legislature Online - Report

In case you haven't seen them yet there are a few new laws that have gone in to effect as of September 1st. you can find all the new laws here https://capitol.texas.gov/Reports/Report.aspx?LegSess=86R&ID=effectivesept1

here a a few-

SB 21 - Minimum age for tobacco sales
21 years old to purchase or consume or possess tobacco products. This includes cigarettes, e-cigarettes and all other tobacco products.

HB 2048 - Increased fines/fees for drivers
This repeals the Driver Responsibility Program, which will allow hundreds of thousands of Texans who've had their licenses suspended to reinstate them, and increases state fines for traffic and intoxicated drivers violations. State traffic fines will increase from $30 to $50 and intoxicated driver fines will increase as well:
• $3,000 for the first conviction within 36 months;
• $4,500 for a subsequent conviction within 36 months; or
• $6,000 for a conviction if it was shown that the person's alcohol concentration level was 0.16 or more

HB 1992 Spoofing: Telemarketers will no longer be able to manipulate Caller ID. They have been able to change the number that shows up to match the same area code you use, so you think the call is coming from your neighborhood. Now, anyone who puts fake information on a Caller ID is potentially violating the law.

HB 37 Porch pirates: Anyone who steals a package from a porch will face felony charges. The penalties and charges grow as the number of thefts increase. If someone steals from more than 50 people, he faces a first-degree felony. Steal from 20 to 50 people and it’s a second-degree felony. And anyone who steals from less than 10 people faces a state felony. Fines can range from $4,000 to $10,000.
