During this session, attendees will receive an overview of the candidate packet and important information to help prepare them for the upcoming fall campaign. Happy Flag Day!

As we celebrate Flag Day, the City of Keene would like to express our appreciation to the Keene Chamber of Commerce for continuing the beloved flag tradition, “Old Glory for Old Betsy.” During holiday weekends and traditional community events, the Keene Chamber, along with a number of dedicated volunteers, line Old Betsy with flags. This tradition demonstrates our strength as a community and our love for our nation.

As of June 13, 2026, the water boil notice that was in effect for the surrounding areas on CR 317, from 3529 CR 317 to 2928 CR 317, has been rescinded. Residents are no longer required to boil their water prior to use. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we continue to work to keep our community safe.

The City of Keene accepted a certificate of appreciation from the American Legion Auxiliary 426 on behalf of the Keene Chamber of Commerce. The certificate acknowledges the Chamber’s contribution to displaying American flags in Keene for Flag Day. Due to a water line repair on CR 317, the City of Keene has been required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality to issue a Water Boil Notice for the affected areas on CR 317 from 3529 CR 317 to 2928 CR 317. Additional areas may experience service interruptions, including Ruby Lane and CR 317A.

Residents in the affected areas should boil their water before consumption. If you live on an adjoining street and are unsure whether you are included in the affected area, we encourage you to boil your water as a precaution.

This notice goes into effect immediately and will remain in effect until the City receives clearance to rescind the notice.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience as repairs are completed. We will release updates as they become available.

Tickets for the City of Keene Night at the Railroaders are on sale now for $14! On July 3 at 7:05 PM, we will wrap up our Independence Day weekend festivities by watching the Cleburne Railroaders take on the Lake Country DockHounds, followed by a special fireworks show after the game. For every ticket sold through the provided link or QR code, $5 will be donated to Open Air Community Garden.
