UPDATE 9/1/26 @ 3:32 PM: Repair work on the water line on Santa Fe St. has been completed, and water service has been restored to most of the affected areas. Those who are still experiencing water loss are expected to have full service restored within the next few hours. Our Public Works team is flushing the surrounding water lines, which may cause customers to temporarily experience low water pressure during the flushing process.

Public Works will continue repairs on the water line on Santa Fe St. tomorrow morning, September 1. Starting at 9 AM, water will be shut off for much of the area west of Lone Star Mobile Home Park for several hours. The affected areas include Wallen Park Estates, Blue Star Dr., RV Ranch of Keene, Stoner Way, Iowa St., Santa Fe St., Keene SDA Church, Tractor Supply, and surrounding homes. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciate your patience as our team works to repair the water line. We will continue to release updates as they become available.

Earlier this week, Home Depot in Cleburne donated bottles of water and Powerade to Keene Fire Rescue. This contribution was sparked by former Keene Fire Chief Matt Gillin purchasing water from Home Depot to donate to the department. When Home Depot learned what he was doing, they wanted to make a donation of their own. A special thank you to our Public Works crew for helping unload all of the supplies! We are incredibly grateful to Home Depot for their generosity and for supporting our firefighters as they work to keep our community safe.
