Who let the dogs out?! 🐶 Happy National Dog Day from the City of Clemson Parks & Recreation! Did you know that Nettles Park (102 Nettles Park Road) features not just one, but TWO dog parks? Whether your pup is big or small, we have the perfect spot for them to run, play, and socialize safely.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! 🏃‍➡️ Youth Cross Country registration is opening on Monday, September 7! Spots are limited and may fill up quickly, so online registration as early as possible is highly recommended. Designed for ages 6-13 of all skill levels, this program focuses on fun, fitness, and building long-distance running skills. The Gotta Run Clemson staff, led by former college runners and coaches, will be teaching the fundamentals of distance running.

Practices take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30 to 6:30 PM, running from October 15 through November 12, and the season wraps up with a Fun Run on Saturday, November 21.

Welcome Summer Feiste and Trenton Floyd to the Parks & Recreation Department! 👋 Already a familiar face to many from Camp Clemson, Summer is the new Community Programs Coordinator and is from right here in Clemson. A graduate from Clemson University in 2023 with a degree in Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management, she has spent the last five years working in camps and events, fueling her passion for building community through experiences.

Trenton Floyd is the new Athletic Coordinator and is also a Clemson University graduate. In 2026, he earned his degree in Parks, Recreation, and Tourism Management and has spent the last two years interning in high school and recreation department athletics.

We look forward to both of them meeting everyone and finding new ways to serve our community. 🧡

The City of Clemson Parks & Recreation Department and the The Town of Central, S.C. are hosting Senior Bingo at the Central Clemson Recreation Center. Enjoy six rounds of FREE bingo, prizes and light refreshments while spending time with friends.

BIG NEWS! 🌟 Senior Bingo was recently named the 2026 Programming Excellence Award in the Under 30,000 Population Category and will be honored this October at the South Carolina Recreation & Parks Association Conference! 👏
