Mrs. Wesner and Mrs. Flood recently participated in the One Florida Leadership Retreat, joining school leaders from across the state for a time of learning, reflection, and collaboration.

The retreat offered powerful keynote presentations, engaging discussions, and opportunities to connect with fellow educators who are passionate about student success. Through these experiences, they explored new ideas, challenged their perspectives, and gathered practical strategies to strengthen leadership and school culture.

They look forward to bringing these insights back to Imagine South Lake and using them to continue supporting students, staff, and families at the highest level. Mrs. Wesner and Mrs. Flood are committed to continuous growth as leaders, knowing that investing in their own learning helps create an even stronger school community.

They returned from the retreat motivated and energized, excited to keep building an exceptional educational experience where every student can thrive.

Last week, during our fifth grade Bridging Ceremony, student-athlete Christian Boutros presented Mrs. Wesner with a signed jersey from his hockey team as a special thank-you to the Imagine South Lake community that has supported him throughout his journey.

Christian, a talented hockey player, will attend Longwood Hockey Academy next school year as he continues to pursue his athletic goals. For the past six years, he has balanced the demands of elite hockey with his academic responsibilities, training before school, traveling for tournaments, and competing at a high level while remaining committed to his education.

“Christian’s athletic and academic journey would not have been possible without the incredible support of our Imagine South Lake Charter School family,” shared his mother, Nena Boutros.

This season, Christian played for the Florida Surf 2015 AAA team, helping lead the program to a fifth-place finish nationally in its inaugural season. As a token of appreciation, he presented his signed jersey to Mrs. Wesner and the school in recognition of the encouragement and support he has received from teachers, staff, and administrators over the years.

“As Christian begins his next chapter at Longwood Hockey Academy in Palm Beach, we are filled with gratitude for the years, memories, and support he received at Imagine,” said Nena. “Thank you for helping him chase his dreams.”

We are incredibly proud of Christian and look forward to following his continued success both on and off the ice.

Did you know that 7th Grade has been collecting pop tabs from soda cans? Collecting and donating pop tabs is a small action that can make a meaningful difference in the community. The tabs are recycled, and the money earned from recycling helps support the programs and services provided by Ronald McDonald House. By participating in pop tab collections, students learn that even small contributions can come together to create a large impact. Bring your pop tabs to any 7th grade room throughout the school year to donate to the cause!

Look at our beautiful new mural our 8th graders painted! By incorporating research, collaboration, and math standards, our class of 2026 has certainly left their mark on making our campus shine by displaying our four core values of respect, integrity, perseverance, and kindness. Last week we celebrated our Principal's Breakfasts. Students in kindergarten through second grade who maintained 3's and 4's in each subject area for the entire year received an invitation. Third through eighth grade students needed at least 90% in each subject area for the entire year to receive an invitation. These students were the first to see our annual video! A huge thank you to our Imagine South Lake Charter PTO for organizing some delicious treats for these Warriors. Also, a special thank you to Donut King for donating ALL of the donut holes for the parties!

🚌 Bus Registration for the 2026-2027 School Year is Now Open! 🚌

Families planning to utilize transportation next school year should carefully review the updated bus routes and stop locations before completing the online registration form.

Important reminders:
✅ All students must complete a new bus registration form each year.
✅ Current bus riders who submit the registration form will retain their seat for the 2026-2027 school year.
✅ New riders and students who did not ride this year will be entered into a lottery for available seats.
✅ The registration deadline is June 16.
✅ The bus lottery will be held on June 17.
✅ Bus stop locations are available now, and route times will be shared in August when drivers return.
✅ Routes and stops are finalized and cannot be changed.

Families selected through the lottery will be notified by email. Students not selected will be placed on a waitlist and notified of their ranking.

We are also excited to welcome Angie Graczyk as the new coordinator overseeing our transportation program. Please join us in congratulating Nichole Meerleveld on her new IT position at Imagine South Lake!
