Dasi Ziyad Family's House blessing was, according to many of the more than 100 friends, neighbors and family who attended, a blessed event. Her Grace Urmila Dasi spoke briefly about being intentional in one's house and environment to share and receive love and compassion. Her remarks were highly appreciated as the questions and comments revealed. The sumputous vegetarian/vegan feast, the pleasant interactions of the people and the cooperative spirit of our children who served and assistd with coordinating this event were memorable highlights!

We've been traveling this year quite a bit. Facilitating marriage and family seminars in St. Louis, Mo, Dallas, TX, Washington D.C. and Houston, TX. Our SELF (Singles Evaluating Life & Family) Healthy Relationship course is being offered in Cleveland this fall. Details to follow.

Working with couples is healing for them and for us! More and more people are asking for help. This is a good sign because there are tools, techniques and insights and that people can learn.

In July and August, Certified Family Life Educators (CFLEs) from Dasi-Ziyad Family Institute are presenting a healthy relationship course in D.C for singles (SELF Healthy Relationship Course). Stay tuned for more details.........

Friends, by popular demand, we are again collaborating with other organizations and individuals to host Black Marriage Day Cleveland 2012! On Sunday, March 25, 2012, we celebrate marriage and family in Cleveland and the hope and opportunity that healthy marriages give. This is a national event and thousands of couples and individuals around the nation participate. There will be a workshop for couples and a beautiful vow renewal ceremony.

Reflections on 2011..........
As the year comes to a close, we are reflecting on our service. We have provided marriage education or premarital education to more than 50 couples and about 20 individuals. We now provide our services via skype and by phone. Facilitating at least 10 workshops and seminars this year, we are looking forward to more next year.

We have co-authored a book to be published in the spring entitled, Heart and Soul Connection: a Devotional Guide to Marriage, Service and Love. To spread the good word, we have also written the "11 Commandments of Parenting" and have taught and implemented Parenting for the 21st Century-- our Teach out of the box curriculum for a variety of childcare providers.

We've sold out of our book: The Booklet of Eights: a condensed guide to spiritual living and are having more copies published. We've had many, many challenges this year but each trial has pushed us to surrender more to the Supreme Lord.

Our mother who has been residing with us for two years is doing well and two of our sons are home from college. Hari (from New York University) is going to London to intern with the BBC in January. Ghanasyam, from Ohio State, undergrad from Princeton is in his first year of Veternary school and life is flowing with the grace of God. We pray that 2012 is your best year yet. Columbus, here we come! DZFI's co-directors, Tariq & Krsnanandini, along with their family and staff, headed for Ohio's capital Friday. Saturday, these Certified Family Life Educators (CFLEs) spent approximately 4 hours in 2 consecutive couple sessions. On Sunday, Krsnanandini gave the guest lecture at a local religious center near Ohio State University to a packed crowd.
