The Cleveland Heights Police Department is investigating an incident that occurred last night. Because this is an open case, the information we can provide the public is limited, but we want to share what we can to keep the Cleveland Heights community informed.

‘Around 9:52 pm yesterday, Cleveland Heights police officers responded to a report that two males had been shot at 2259 Noble Road #2.

Upon arrival, officers found a 23-year-old male and a 41-year-old male who appeared to have gunshot wounds to their heads. The 23-year-old was unresponsive. Cleveland Heights Fire Department squads transported both men to University Hospital for treatment.

The 23-year-old was identified as Mr. King Carter of Cleveland Heights. Mr. Carter unfortunately succumbed to his injuries early this morning.

The 41-year-old remains under medical care in the hospital. We do not have information about the severity of his injuries.

CHPD has identified a person of interest who is in custody.’

DONUT DRINK & DRIVE event today at Bryan’s Marathon.

We want to thank Raul Carrillo the owner of Cilantro’s Mexican Restaurants has made major cash donations regarding food drive events within our Cleveland Heights Community.

Mrs. Rosenburg the owner of Unger’s Kosher Bakery Food has made major food donations to various events held within our community.

Bryan Barrett the owner of Bryan’s Marathon located on Lee Rd., has made major contributions to the Cleveland Heights community for 40-plus years.

🎒 CHPD had a great time meeting with families and passing out swag at Coventry Peace Park for the Back-To-School program this weekend. Sadly, the rain impeded the back-to-school giveaway but all of our attendees enjoyed complimentary food and refreshments! We hope you all have a wonderful school year as you begin classes next week.

Cleveland Heights to Celebrate National Night Out
Tuesday, August 1 | 6:00–8:00 pm
Cleveland Heights Community Center

National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.

Cleveland Heights will celebrate National Night Out with a fun community gathering on August 1, from 6:00–8:00 pm, on the lawn outside of the Cleveland Heights Community Center, One Monticello Boulevard.

The City will serve a dinner of hamburgers and hot dogs prepared on either a Kosher or non-Kosher grill, chips and a beverage. Members of the Safety and Service Departments will be on hand to meet and greet. Attendees meet members of the SWAT Team, the U.S. Marshall Service, the Bomb Squad, the Cleveland Heights Police Academy, and the Citizens Police Academy. Trucks from the City's Fire, Public Works, and EMS will be available for hands-on demonstrations. We will also have a bounce house and a climbing wall!
