The Town of Renova, established in 1920 and reincorporated in 1978, lies in the heart of the Mississippi Delta. The original town had only a post office and a saw mill. Through the years, Renova has continued to grow and progress from dependence on septic tanks and outdoor plumbing to the addition of a sewerage system, natural gas cable services, paved streets and a walking trail. Mayor Maurice F. Lucas served from 1978 until 2009. Since reincorporation, Pamela R. Martin has been the Town's sole clerk. Harvey L. Green is the current mayor and the Board of Aldermen comprise Tony Anderson, Juanita W. Green, Milton Hunt, Lenora Payne, and Elbert G. The Town currently boasts three businesses, Lost Pizza, Renova Quick Stop, and Spinners, four apartment complexes, and array of modest to elegant homes. Residents maintain a positive work history with a 2.8% unemployment rate. The standard of living is such that people are constantly seeking to move to the diamond in the Delta.
