6/1/26 - Bradley County Commission Voting Session

06/01/2026

Tonight is an important night in the county budget process.

At 7:00 p.m. during the County Commission voting session downtown at the courthouse, I’ll be presenting my 26th Bradley County budget proposal to the full commission. The county budget matters because it sets priorities for the services citizens rely on every day, and it has to be done in a way that respects taxpayers and keeps the county financially stable. Tonight’s proposal is for FY 26–27 and totals $234,422,995.

This is also a transparent, public process. The meeting is open to everyone, and I’d encourage you to attend in person if you can. If you can’t, you can watch live or catch the recording later.

After tonight, the Finance Committee will take a deep dive into the budget on Friday at 9:00 a.m. They’ll go page by page, ask questions, and recommend any changes. Their recommendation will then go back to the full commission for a final vote later this month so the budget can be adopted ahead of July 1, the start of our fiscal year.

If you’ve ever wanted to see how county government works and how taxpayer dollars are prioritized, this is the week to pay attention.
