✨local bookstore highlight✨

I was truly OBSESSED with Magnolia Rose on my visit to Cincinnati last week!! The store is a dream space with plants (all for sale), crafts, flowers, coffee, wine, etc! They truly have it all. And the employees were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met!!!! I could have stayed here all day long if I didn’t have to drive back to cle. I will be making this a regular stop on my visits to cinci ♥️♥️♥️

|| Broken Dove by Dani Francis

|| this was the second book to Dani Francis’s Silver Elite (which was a favorite read this year so far) and I loved where the story headed in this novel! Sometimes second books can hit a rut with the plot line but I thoroughly enjoyed the different areas we explored through Wren and how she was pushed to grow and really choose her battles. Her relationships with the Mods and Primes got complicated and difficult but I think that was purposeful to show there can be good found in evil (on both sides). I still think Silver Elite has my heart, but this was a good second book!!

|| Our Perfect Storm by Carley Fortune

|| I truly loved this book!!! Was it predictable? Yes very much so, but there was still something so sweet and connecting about the characters and setting…I was completely engrossed into the story. I also loved the flashes back and forth between the present and the past childhood memories, I think that really gave a foundation to Frankie and George’s love story. And I absolutely NEED to visit the Islands of Vancouver and go whale watching…I think I’m going to make it part of our honeymoon trip next year 😂. Overall, a super cute summer romance read!!

|| King of Gluttony by Ana Huang

|| I was in a pretty bad book slump and I needed a quick, easy, romance read I can shut my brain off and just enjoy…and that was this book through and through!!! I’ve read all Ana Huang’s books in this series and I truly loved this one. The connection between the characters were strong and I liked the dynamic they held throughout the story. If you need a good summer romance read, this was an easy choice!

|| I love Jimenez’s books but this one wasn’t my favorite. I struggled to connect to the characters and felt like it dragged out way longer than it needed to. I still enjoyed the book overall and read it in a few days time!! Just wasn’t one that really wowed me.
