VANDALISM NOTICE - The park benches in Cherry Creek Park are made to sit on. They are not flotation devices and DO NOT belong in the Creek.

We received reports of a Pest Control Company going door to door, using the name of White Knight Pest Control. They DO NOT have a Permit from the City of Cleveland. NO PEDDLER PERMITS have been issued.

Ask them for a business card and them simply ask them to leave or you will notify our department.

Anyone with business cards from this company is encouraged to turn them into City Hall for us on Tuesday.

High Speeds continue to plague Southern MN as seen in these stops reported by Minnesota State Patrol

 On May 1, a Trooper observed two vehicles racing on ISTH 90. Lt. Hayes was able to get both vehicles stopped and issued the drivers citations for 112/70 mph zone and Reckless Driving, and 126/70 mph zone, Reckless Driving, and Window Tint. This was the fifth contact with the State Patrol for one of the drivers/vehicles.

 On May 9, a Trooper stopped a vehicle for 92/65 mph zone on Hwy 169 in LeSueur County. Three unrestrained children were passengers in the vehicle. The driver was arrested for 1st Degree DWI and Child Endangerment.

 A Trooper responded to a driving complaint on MNTH 23. He located the vehicle traveling at 127/60 mph zone. While talking to the driver, Trp. Geiser detected impairment. SFST's were attempted but the driver was uncooperative. The driver was arrested and transported to the Lyon County Jail.

As we come to an end of this year's National Police Week, I want to extend a huge THANK YOU to those who work for our Police Department, as well as the City Hall Staff who take calls and messages for us when we're not on duty.

SCAM ALERT !!

Today we had an elderly residence who was called and told they owed $800.00 for blood work. The caller was unable to tell the resident what clinic or what Dr. did the blood work.

This was a scam, the resident did not lose any money.
