🚌 Back to School Safety Reminder 🚸

As students head back to school, we ask everyone to slow down, stay alert, and help keep our roads safe.

🚍 School Bus Safety

Stop for school buses when the stop arm is extended and the red lights are flashing.
Never pass a stopped school bus unless permitted by state law.
Watch carefully for children crossing the roadβ€”they may be difficult to see.

πŸš“ Deputies Directing Traffic
Our deputies will be directing traffic at three schools (Jack P. Nix Elementary School, Mt. Yonah Elementary School, White County High School) throughout the county during arrival and dismissal times to help ensure the safety of students, parents, school staff, and motorists. If you see blue lights on the road, please slow down.

Please:
βœ… Be patient and allow extra travel time.
βœ… Follow deputies' directions and all traffic signs.
βœ… Stay off your phone and remain alert in school zones.
βœ… Slow down and watch for pedestrians.

Working together, we can make this school year a safe one for everyone. Thank you for doing your part to protect our children and support our schools.

πŸ’ͺ Empowerment starts with preparation!

On Saturday, July 25, Sgt. LeCompte and Deputy Sabella had the pleasure of hosting a mini self-defense course for some of the amazing ladies at MedLink - Cleveland. From learning practical techniques to building confidence, it was a great morning of training and teamwork.

Thank you to MedLink - Cleveland for contacting us and trusting us with your safety. We appreciate every opportunity to educate our community and help prepare for the unexpected.

Stay aware. Stay confident. Stay safe. πŸ‘ŠπŸš”
