Reverend Teresa Norman Named Tennessee Chaplain of the Year
Rev. Teresa Norman serves as Associate Pastor of Grace Community Church in Cleveland, Tennessee. A devoted follower of Jesus Christ, she is passionate about helping others grow in their faith and experience the transforming love and grace of God through compassion, care, and encouragement. Throughout her Christian journey, Teresa has been actively involved in church ministry, discipleship, teaching, community outreach, and supporting believers through faithful service and fellowship.
In addition to her pastoral ministry, Teresa serves as Chaplain for the Cleveland Police Department and Bradley Medical Center. She also serves on the Board of Directors for Women at the Well and on the Advisory Council for the Salvation Army. Her commitment to serving others is evident in every aspect of her ministry and community involvement.
Teresa is a retired Registered Nurse whose healthcare background has greatly enhanced her chaplaincy ministry. Nursing and chaplaincy have worked hand in hand throughout her life, equipping her to minister to the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those she serves with compassion, wisdom, and understanding.
A third-generation member of the Church of God, Teresa deeply values the rich heritage of the Pentecostal faith while remaining firmly grounded in Scripture and the transforming power of God's grace. She holds undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Management and has earned a Master's Degree in Ministry.
Teresa is the proud mother of two adult children and a loving “Nana” to three grandsons who bring tremendous joy to her life. She believes ministry begins at home and extends into every area of life through acts of kindness, compassion, service, and encouragement.
Known for her servant's heart, unwavering faith, and genuine love for people, Teresa consistently reflects the compassion of Christ in all she does. Through her ministry, leadership, and chaplaincy service, she has faithfully touched countless lives, offering hope, comfort, and the love of God to those in need.
