Please join us in welcoming Katie Kapferer to the Benjamin Rose Board of Directors!

Katie was drawn to Benjamin Rose because caring for older adults and supporting caregivers is a cause close to her heart. As a caregiver herself, she has experienced firsthand the value of the services and resources Benjamin Rose provides.

“I’ve seen the incredible breadth and reach of their work, helping thousands of older adults and caregivers annually, advancing research on aging and dementia, and providing housing and wellness support to adults who need it the most,” Katie shared. “Perhaps most of all, I’ve been inspired by the passionate people at Benjamin Rose who make their mission come to life every day.”

We’re grateful to have Katie’s experience, perspective and passion helping advance our mission.

Welcome to the Benjamin Rose Board, Katie!

We’re thrilled to celebrate Inez Killingsworth, who has been named one of the Cleveland 230!

A Cleveland school janitor turned lifelong advocate, Inez Killingsworth founded the East Side Organizing Project in 1993 — later ESOP — helping Cleveland-area homeowners fight foreclosure and predatory lending. In 2008, she testified before Congress and persuaded lenders to change their practices.

Today, ESOP’s important work continues as part of Benjamin Rose, continuing her work of foreclosure prevention, housing counseling and financial empowerment. We're honored to carry forward the legacy of a woman who taught others to stand up, organize and fight for their communities.

We are proud to partner with the Alzheimer's Association and Family Caregiver Alliance to expand access to evidence-based programs and resources for family caregivers of people living with dementia.

Through a new three-year partnership, the organizations will support the continued growth of Best Programs for Caregiving, a free national directory designed to help caregivers find proven programs that can reduce stress, build caregiving skills and support well-being.

Together, we can help ensure more caregivers have access to the support they need, when they need it.
