Update on the Counties largest developer in all 4 precincts. I only speak for myself what I know is they want walking city with business coffee shops at lower levels and somewhat like large apartments or townhomes. They want 60/40 developments meaning 40% city and 60% surrounding them of woods and pasture. They don’t want the typical sprawl type subdivisions. I do believe they want a very high end development but it is our job to not blindly sign something that will completely change our beloved San Jacinto County. They brought a development Agreement. It is their wish list in my opinion that I am not signing. I hope to get through the court ASAP RFQ REQUEST FOR QUALIFICATIONS for some law firms who specialize in large development agreements for other municipalities. This will ensure we get the best agreement to help this county survive such a impact. I want to make sure we don’t end up with Trails End or Colony Ridge issues. I believe they are thriving for a great development here is their link this is all the plans I’ve seen so far pictures.

These law firms are professionals hired by the county but at the cost of the developer so in my opinion it is a wise move. I may be a one and done Commissioner but I don’t want to mess my home up for years to come. Transparently is important and my door is always open. I haven’t seen but we all requested to actually see plans and I believe they are coming soon the first development I heard not in my precinct will be Pct 1. They are aware of my concerns and understand completely I’m requesting an outside firm and agree it’s a good ideal as our county doesn’t have a development department.
As you guys know in precinct 3 we have another 900 lot developer coming in on 3081/Oakridge so getting a development law firm on board sooner rather than later would be ideal. Stop in anytime I will show you what I have and tell you any concerns I have.
