🚒🔥 Fire Prevention Month 2026! 🔥🚒

We had a great time visiting Cleveland Primary School for a special Fire Prevention Month assembly!

We enjoyed spending time with the students, teaching them about fire safety, Lithium Ion Batteries, the importance of being prepared, and what to do in an emergency. 🧑‍🚒

A big thank you to Cleveland Primary School for having us! We always enjoy the opportunity to educate our youngest community members.

This is the hydrant that was replaced yesterday. We will be restoring and preserving it for display at the station.

Today 10/7/2026 at approximately 1pm city crews will be changing out a fire hydrant at the corner of Wichita and Jordan. The hydrants at the fire station and Palace Drug parking lot will be open to relieve pressure while they make the change. Most people in the area will have low water pressure for a little while.

Ever wondered what it’s like to be a volunteer firefighter? 🚒🔥

Our volunteers get the opportunity to train on a variety of skill sets —trainings our volunteers have attended recently: Structural Firefighting, Wildland Fire Fighting, Hazmat Awareness, and Emergency Vehicle Driver Training (EVDT).

No experience? We’ll train you. If you’re 18+, have a valid driver’s license, no felony convictions, and are willing to show up, learn, and serve your community, we want you on our team.

🚒 We would like to thank Fire Service Training for putting on the Flammable Liquids and Gas (FLAG) class and providing the training props & instructors, Central Tech for housing the classroom portion, and all the surrounding fire departments for attending and taking the time to better themselves!🔥

We’re excited to welcome our newest Cleveland Tigers Fire Intern! 🚒🔥

As she kicks off her senior year, we want to wish her a fun, eventful, and memorable final year at CHS!

Yesterday's training gave our intern some hands-on experience with vehicle extrication while our crews tested out battery-powered rescue tools as we continue looking to improve and upgrade our equipment. It was also a great opportunity for everyone to train, refresh their skills, and stay sharp on vehicle extrication techniques.

We had a great time helping our Little League football players cool off after putting in the work at practice. 🏈🔥 We’re always happy to get out in the community and have a little fun with the kids!
