⚖️🌟 Leadership beyond the classroom!

What an incredible opportunity for Walker Valley’s Link Crew Leaders to experience our judicial system firsthand while learning valuable lessons about leadership, integrity, and civic responsibility! 👏💙💛

On Wednesday, Oct. 14, Walker Valley’s Link Crew Leaders had the honor of spending time with the US District Court Eastern District of Tennessee. Students witnessed court proceedings and toured the federal courthouse. Our leaders also met with The Honorable Judge Curtis Collier, Senior District Judge, The Honorable Mike Dumitru, Magistrate Judge and US Marshal, Paul Salayko. Members of the court and our Link Crew Leaders discussed the workings of the judicial system, being a contributing member of the community and that honesty and integrity are indispensable qualities of a leader. Link Crew is extremely appreciative of Judge Collier’s passion for civic education and impacting students. Link Crew would also like to thank Law Clerks Carrie Stefaniak, Molly Pines and Melissa Skarjune for arranging our visit.

Bradley County Schools is celebrating Digital Citizenship Week, October 19–23! This marks our 7th year participating in this national initiative focused on helping students navigate our digital world safely and responsibly.

This year’s theme is “Build Kids’ Critical Thinking for a World with AI.” Throughout the week, students will participate in lessons and activities that encourage them to think critically and use technology responsibly to learn, create, and participate.

We are proud to be a Common Sense District and committed to helping our students become thoughtful digital citizens. 💙

It’s National School Bus Safety Week, and we’re taking a moment to recognize the incredible school bus drivers who safely transport our students to and from school each day.

School bus safety is a shared responsibility. We encourage drivers, students, families, and our community to slow down, stay alert, and follow the rules around school buses and bus stops.

We are grateful for the patience, care, and commitment of our bus drivers who help our students start and end each school day safely! 💙
