We welcome you and your comments to the Indian Electric Cooperative (IEC) page. We encourage you to submit your questions and comments. Member service issues that need immediate attention, such as power outages, should no

t be posted on Facebook, we cannot guarantee a timely response. Please report power outages 24 hours a day seven days a week by calling (918) 295-9500. Any specific questions about your IEC account should be handled in person or by phone Monday through Thursday 7:00am to 4:30pm, Fridays 7:00am to 3:30pm at (918) 295-9500. IEC reserves the right to remove any post we feel is inappropriate.

The August edition of Oklahoma Living Magazine has arrived! 📬

The Lamp features past IEC Board Member and long-time Cleveland resident, Dr. Greg Fielding and his wife, Liz. The Fieldings provide eye exams and donated prescription eyeglasses to residents of Orange Walk, Belize. They're currently collecting used prescription eyeglasses to continue this meaningful work.

‼️‼️5:15 UPDATE: Thanks to our transmission partners at KAMO for getting the power to 2,500 restored in less than an hour.

They still are working on the transmission line that is down but reacted quickly and switched feeders around so members would not be without power in the interim.

You still could have a small blip later when they switch you back, but nothing substantial.

LARGE OUTAGE: About 2,300 meters (11%) are experiencing an outage. We’ve been told KAMO has a transmission line down and their crews are headed out to assess the issue. We don’t have any more info at this time, but as soon as we do, we will update this post.

As always, lineworkers get the job done as fast as safety allows. They understand it is hot and inconvenient and will do all they can to minimize the time you are without power.

Working in this summer heat is no joke. We often get questions about how we keep our crews safe during the hottest months of the year.☀️

Safety is always our top priority. Our crews receive heat safety training and have access to water, electrolyte and hydration support and frequent breaks to help them work safely.

Today, we did a little extra.🍧 We surprised our employees with sno cones from The Flavor Cave to help them cool off and say thank you for all they do during these brutal summer temperatures. They work hard to keep the lights on and we're grateful for their dedication!
