We also funded a new ADA-compliant playground at Denison Park, creating a more accessible place for every child to play.

Starting TOMORROW, September 4, the Denison Park Splash Pad will be open every day from 10 am to 7 pm. The ribbon cutting is also scheduled for September 12 at 11am. More details to come!

Join Us in Honoring 9/11 Through Random Acts of Kindness! ❤️

Twenty-five years after the events of September 11, 2001, we continue to remember those who lost their lives and honor the courageous heroes whose compassion, sacrifice, and service helped restore faith in humanity.
In observance of the 25th Anniversary of the 9/11, UH invites residents of all ages to participate in our community-wide Pay It Forward Day on Friday, September 11, 2026.

🌟 The Challenge:
Perform three acts of kindness for people you don't know and help create a ripple effect of goodwill throughout our community.

Ideas to Get You Started

☕ Buy a coffee for a stranger
🥫 Donate food to a local shelter or food pantry
💙 Write thank-you notes to first responders
🌳 Organize or join a neighborhood litter cleanup

Keep the Kindness Going by encouraging the recipient to pay it forward by doing something kind for someone else.

Tips for Your Acts

👍Be random – Choose people you don’t know to maximize the ripple effect.
👍Be visible – Smile, say “thank you,” or leave a note to make the act memorable.
👍Use local resources – Partner with community groups, schools, or businesses for larger impact.
👍Document your deeds – Share on social media with to inspire others.

Pay It Forward 9/11 is a nonprofit movement that encourages people to do three random acts of kindness for strangers during the month of September to honor the lives lost in the 9/11 attacks and the heroes who helped restore unity.
