Malachi Center was founded in 1985 to extend the outreach of St. It is operated by two full-time and four part-time staff. Almost 40 years later, the needs are still as great in our community as Malachi Center continues to serve as a safe haven where the homeless and low-income families and their children can build on their strengths and resiliency, access community resources, and take positive st
eps forward in their lives. We uniquely serve two populations -- families and children struggling with the impacts of poverty and the pandemic as well as the homeless and unhoused. This dynamic combination puts us in a unique position to provide essential service to our diverse community. By providing essential services and programming, our vision is to be a vibrant safe harbor where individuals and families are transformed through educational and social programs. Through our programs and services, Malachi Center continues to provide clients with the necessary skills to reach their full potential, and strives to empower individuals to overcome the challenges they face by providing a hand up versus a hand out.
