Save a Teenager

Teenagers that we service are clients that have at least one member of their parents who have a problem with substance abuse and high risk of criminal behavior. The ages that are accepted are from 15-18 years old. These teens and their families receive counseling and social skills rehabilitation at Save-a-teenager. . Families are the strong support of each other. They are the greatest influence

that we will ever know in our lives. They build the foundation of our belief systems. As such this program strengthens this family and brings them closer together to give one another that support that is needed. We do this through counseling for each individual , the grounding of the couples and the family as a whole. We provide a social network and assistance with job training skills in order to support the family in allowing their roles to support the teenager that have been referred to us to have a firm foundation in making better choices for themselves. We offer a therapeutic group of outpatient and mentorship program that includes a peer to peer group. We sustain and recommend twelve step groups for our client to maintain a support system that will carry them through their growth throughout their life. Save teenager is designed to assist the client with lifestyle changes. Job training skills is an area in which we will continue to train the adults as well as the teens. We offer liaison management to assist the teen in their challenges in the school systems. We offer jobs after the training in the STNA and areas of home support for the elderly with Nurse Oke’ke’ Homecare Agency. Through social skills training we
offer recreational activities in which the entire is involved in some capacity to
organizing to actual participation in the activities. Sports events, retreats, etiquette training. This program is comprehensive and deals with client holistically to assist in modifying behavior s that are counter
