Yesterday, Third District Community Engagement Officers along with members from the Bureau of Community Policing had the opportunity to attend a Meet and Greet at Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries, connecting with community members and strengthening partnerships that help make our neighborhoods safer and stronger.
We appreciate Lutheran Metropolitan Ministries for hosting this event and providing a welcoming space for meaningful conversations. Building trust, listening to community concerns, and fostering positive relationships remain at the heart of our mission.
Thank you to everyone who stopped by to meet our officers, share ideas, and engage with us. Together, we continue working toward a safer and more connected community.

Operation Chill provides opportunities for officers to establish a positive connection with kids in their neighborhood. The reasons for being rewarded coupons are varied — wearing a helmet while riding a bike, picking up litter, helping a neighbor or holding the door open — but the result is the same for every child: A free Slurpee® drink and a smile for a good deed.

Third District Officers were proud to join residents, volunteers, and community partners at the Ward 5 Community Clean-Up held last Friday at the Ka La Healing Garden Center, 2251 E. 73rd Street.
Events like these demonstrate the power of community partnerships and the positive impact we can make when we work together. Our officers were honored to assist in beautifying the neighborhood and supporting efforts to create a cleaner, safer environment for all.

Last Friday, Third District Community Engagement Officers were honored to attend the 2026 Asian Heritage Day Celebration at Cleveland City Hall. The event brought together community members, leaders, and organizations to recognize and celebrate the rich cultures, traditions, and contributions of Asian American communities.
We are grateful for the opportunity to connect with residents, support this meaningful celebration, and strengthen the partnerships that help make our community vibrant and inclusive.

Last Thursday, Third District Officers, alongside members of the Fourth District and the Bureau of Community Policing, had the opportunity to connect with residents during a Coffee with a Cop event at Cornucopia, located at 7201 Kinsman Rd.
The event provided a welcoming space for community members to meet with officers, ask questions, share concerns, and engage in meaningful conversations over a cup of coffee. Building strong relationships and fostering open communication remain vital to our commitment to serving the community.
