On Saturday August 30th at 18:24, the Cleveland Fire Department, in conjunction with the Manitowoc County Sheriff's Department, assisted with a dog rescue from the Point Creek Park beach. Manitowoc County Dispatch received a call from some good samaritans walking on the beach. They stated that the dog appeared injured and couldn’t walk. A stokes basket was utilized to transport the dog up the steep bluff. The owners were contacted and the dog was reunited with them. The Cleveland Fire Department is proud to serve our community in every aspect.

Heads up for next week

PLANNED ROAD CLOSURE
July 14 - 18

The Manitowoc County Highway Department will be performing a culvert replacement on County Trunk Highway “LS” in the Village of Cleveland, starting on Monday, July 14, at 6AM.

The area between Whitetail Lane and Franklin Drive on CTH LS will be affected.

The detour route will be Dairyland Drive to Center Road to CTH “X” to CTH “LS”. The closures are scheduled to start at 6:00 a.m. each day, with the road to be reopened at the end of each day. These culvert replacements are expected to be completed by July 18th, 2025. (Weather dependent)

Monday night we held our annual fire department meeting, which was open to the public. Every year we do this to invite the public in to see and learn a little bit about what we have done in the past year. During the meeting we also presented several awards for various things and we swore in new members. This year we had three individuals who completed their probationary period since last year’s meeting. We would like to welcome and congratulate those individuals. They are
