Members of the CPC’s Outreach Committee recently joined City of Cleveland employees for an after-school community event focused on supporting Cleveland’s youth and building stronger connections in the community.

Commissioner Miller reflected on the experience:

“As a member of the Outreach Committee, I had the opportunity to volunteer at the City of Cleveland’s after-school community event. I was grateful to participate, spend time with our young people, and contribute to an afternoon focused on community, connection, and positive engagement.”

Being present in the community is an important part of our work. These moments are another example of the Outreach Committee’s commitment to staying engaged and connected with the people we serve.

Tonight's Rules Committee meeting has been canceled. Instead, the Committee will hold a special meeting between now and the next Full Commission meeting to approve the collaborative discipline review process it has been developing with the Accountability Committee, as well as an updated version of the Evidentiary Hearing Manual, so that we can move forward with holding another evidentiary hearing.

Tonight's Accountability Committee meeting has been canceled and will be rescheduled for later this month. Once a new date has been confirmed, we will post it on the calendar on our website.

Good times at the Ward 8 Festival this past weekend! Thank you to Councilwoman Howse-Jones for hosting "A New Day in Hough."

Events like these give us the opportunity to connect directly with residents, answer questions, and share more about the Community Police Commission and the work we do. We're grateful to everyone who stopped by to talk with us, and we look forward to seeing you again next year!
