I decided to seek office because I believe in White County. I believe the citizens of White County deserve the best protection and services from their Sheriff's Office. Having been a lifelong resident of White County, I feel an obligation to continue a positive change for our communities. I will approach the Office with ethics, integrity, and leadership. A Sheriff comes from the people, elected by
the people, and serves the people. I will be a representative of the people by standing up for what is right and the law to keep White County safe. We must be tough on crime and responsible to tax payers by implying more service and less politics; to strive to not only reduce crime, but to reduce the fear of crime; to be more respectful, imaginative and aggressive in our approach to crime and the problems it causes. We must allocate the financial resources of the Sheriff's Office only on the needs of the department and the citizens, eliminating luxuries and "wants," invest financially in training and preparing the front line officers and supervisors for responding to the emergencies and needs of our community, invest in our future and community to better serve and protect our county, commit to teamwork by boosting camaraderie and morale within the Office for the employees as well as with the citizens, play a more proactive role by implementing effective law enforcement and crime prevention strategies, use crime and shift analysis to assist in changing the way manpower is used to maximize effectiveness to better serve our county.
