🏀⛰️ Battle in the Mountains Travel Basketball Tournament ⛰️🏀
White County Parks & Rec is excited to host our 1st Annual Battle in the Mountains on July 10th, 11th, & 12th, 2026!
We are accepting boys and girls teams, grades 4th–8th. Registration is $175 per team with a 3-game guarantee.
🏆 First place rings will be awarded
🏆 2nd place will receive a trophy

This evening, our Warrior all-stars for baseball and softball continued their games in their MAC Tournaments.

Our 10u baseball team competed in Union County in day 2 of their tournament. Meanwhile, our 8u baseball team went 1-1 this evening in Dawson County.

Last but not least, our 10u softball won their opening contest before finishing the tournament with a runner-up effort.

Let’s congratulate all of our All-Stars for their hard work!

After a long night of lightning delays, our 8u Lady Warriors finished their MAC Tournament with a runner-up effort.

We want to congratulate our 8u Lady Warriors for their runner-up efforts, along with our 3 other baseball/softball all-star teams who were in action tonight in the 8u and 10u age groups.

This includes our 10u Lady Warriors who were victorious this evening and will continue to play tomorrow evening in Hayesville.

A big shoutout to our 8u softball Lady Warriors, who won two games today in their MAC All-Star tournament. They will play in the championship game of the tournament tomorrow evening in Lumpkin County.

The race may be over, but the memories made at our 4th Annual Rec & Run will last a long time! 🏃☀️💦

What an incredible afternoon spent with our community! We had over 100 runners come out and be part of such a fun and special event, and we couldn’t be more thankful for everyone who joined us.

From kids laughing on the brand new splash pad, to families enjoying the inflatables and corn hole, good food, conversations, and simply hanging out together for the evening — it was everything a community event should be. Seeing everyone come together and enjoy our parks and recreation facilities reminds us exactly why we love what we do.

A HUGE thank you goes to all of our sponsors who continue to support this event year after year. Events like this simply would not happen without your generosity, support, and belief in our community. We are beyond grateful.
