🍂 October is packed with events in Cleveland!

Mark your calendars because we have a full month of community events, family fun, and fall festivities coming your way!

Kick off the month with National Night Out on October 1, where residents can connect with local first responders and community partners.

On October 17, join us for Fall Sweep Around Cleveland, a community cleanup at the Stancil Expo Center. Residents can lend a hand in keeping Cleveland beautiful and take advantage of the Fall Haul by bringing select items for disposal.

Then, we’re closing out October with TWO events on October 30! Enjoy Halloween festivities at Treat Street and Hallo-Wing for a fun-filled end to the month.

There’s plenty happening in Cleveland this October, and we hope you’ll join us! Keep an eye on our page for more details about each event.

🚧 TxDOT Enhancements Around Cleveland

You may have noticed several roadway and drainage improvements taking place throughout Cleveland. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) has completed a number of enhancement projects aimed at improving road conditions, drainage, and infrastructure throughout our community.

Recent work includes pavement overlays along the FM 2025 feeder roads at the northbound and southbound exits, as well as the SH 105 feeder roads in both directions.

Additional improvements include ditch digging along E. Houston Street from Roosevelt Ave. to Grand Oaks, road repairs along Washington Ave. between US 59 South and US 59 North, and ditch digging along FM 787 from Boothe St. to Campbell Loop.

TxDOT has also completed a pavement overlay along SH 105 near Grand Oaks, extending from the bypass to the frontage road.

These projects represent continued investment in the infrastructure that serves Cleveland residents, businesses, and visitors each day. We appreciate TxDOT’s work in our community and look forward to seeing continued improvements throughout Cleveland.

❤️ Rain or shine, we support our Cleveland Indians! ❤️

A little rain couldn’t dampen the Homecoming spirit! The City of Cleveland was proud to join the Cleveland High School Homecoming Parade with a float of our own and help celebrate alongside our students, families, and community. 🎉🏹

We loved seeing Cleveland come together to show off that hometown pride and cheer on our Indians as they celebrate Homecoming!

Go Indians, and Happy Homecoming! ❤️👏

☕Another great Coffee with the Mayor is in the books!

Thank you to everyone who joined Mayor Danny Lee this morning at The Crossing Coffee Shop for conversation, connection, and a chance to hear what's happening throughout our community.

This month, we were pleased to welcome Cleveland ISD Superintendent Glenn Barnes and Tarkington ISD Superintendent Randall O'Brien as our special guests.

We appreciate both superintendents taking the time to join us and connect with the community. Our local schools play an important role in the future of our community, and opportunities like Coffee with the Mayor help keep conversations going between the city, our school districts, and the people we serve.

Thank you to everyone who stopped by and shared their morning with us. We look forward to another great conversation next month! ☕💬

⚠️🌧️ FLASH FLOOD WARNING | HIGH WATER ADVISORY

The Cleveland area is currently under a Flash Flood Warning as steady rainfall associated with Tropical Storm Edouard continues to impact the region.

Residents should be aware that high water and localized street flooding are occurring in some areas. The City’s drainage systems are actively moving water; however, continued rainfall can temporarily overwhelm drainage capacity, particularly in low-lying and flood-prone areas.

🚗 Please use caution if traveling this morning. Be prepared to encounter high water, allow additional travel time, and plan alternate routes as necessary. Never attempt to drive through a flooded roadway — Turn Around, Don’t Drown!!

City crews are monitoring conditions and drainage infrastructure as the rainfall continues. Please remain weather-aware and use caution throughout the morning.
