We were thrilled to see Cleveland Jewish News cover a memorable moment from the American Jewish Historical Society’s 2026 Biennial Scholars Conference at the Maltz Performing Arts Center.

Samantha Baskind delivered the keynote address, “Superman and Jewish Cleveland,” exploring the superhero’s Jewish roots and deep ties to Cleveland history. The conference, held May 31–June 2, marked the first time the AJHS Biennial Scholars Conference took place in Cleveland.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for this fascinating program and helped make the event such a success.
