Our crews were up and early with all hands on deck for water safety coverage of Tri CLE - Cleveland’s premier multisport racing one of the highest sought out triathlons in Cleveland and this year was no different with a record number of athletes participating.

This event is no stranger to our personnel providing water rescue coverage multiple years now. The ties to this event became closer in this past year as the new head of Tri CLE and Race Director Natalie McManamon is one of our own newbie Lifeguards having joined our organization this season.

Our crews provided water rescue coverage with Response Boat 2543, Jet Ski 1 & 2, and multiple Lifeguards on rescue boards in the water along with assistance from Cleveland Metroparks Lifeguards and volunteer paddlers.

We started out this month with a few of our members traveling to Detroit to assist with water rescue coverage at the Swim Across America Detroit Motor City Mile at Belle Isle Park.

This has been the second year Phastar Marine Safety has been apart of this out of town coverage detail helping our neighbors in Detroit.

We are proud to be a part of the safety team on this special swim fundraiser that helps raise money for cancer research. Awesome job to all the swimmers completing the swim and raising funds to help with all things cancer related. Great job to all volunteers and staff that make this event possible. Fine job Detroit!!

Our crews had a busy week last week both Captains and Lifeguards as we assisted East Tech Rescue with their monthly water drill days.

We provided dive assistance with our backup Response Boat Surf that serves as a good dive platform for the divers. We also provided our sailing master Rusty to work with tech team members on what to do with a capsized sail boat.

Opportunities like these give our personnel extra time out on the water and getting to know other rescue personnel and capabilities in the area.

Our lead Captain Jordan Kitt recently had the opportunity to have Spectrum News 1 Ohio with our crew aboard Response Boat 2543 sharing our goals of prevention & safety out on Lake Erie & the Cuyahoga River.

Our crews were busy over this July 4th holiday weekend. Even our boss the OG and brains of our entire organization Captain Drew Ferguson was out and about pulling shifts leading the way.

Friday evening boss Ferguson was out on patrol catching up with our 2543 crew on our PWC.

A handful of our members had an early start this morning as they provided on water rescue coverage to the newly revived Huntington Beach Triathlon hosted by Grit Races
We provided our USLA lifeguards and our rescue PWC.

The weather was perfect and all the athletes did some work on the swim portion. A special thanks to the Cleveland Metroparks lifeguards and the volunteer paddlers working alongside with us to keep all the swimmers safe and ready for the rest of their day!

Our crews were out and about today talking about rescue boats at the Great Lakes Science Center Center Camp Curiosity 🧠

Capt Kitt / Lt Brothers shared all about our Response Boat 2543 while Capt Ferguson got to have a little fun showing our PWC for the camp kids.

Capt Kitt was involved speaking multiple days this week as each day was a different boating vessel topic including commercial, law enforcement, fire, and rescue.
