Outage Update 9/4 6:20AM:

The large majority of customers have had power restored. Crews continue to work on a few small areas of isolated outages.

Crews today will continue to work on storm restoration. If you are experiencing an issue with your power please report it online or by calling 216-664-3156

Outage Update 9/3 10:15PM:

Crews continue to work in the area from Dorchester Drive to Parkgrove Avenue, between East 152nd Street and East 185th Street, where there was significant storm and tree damage.

Power has been restored throughout the rest of the affected areas. We appreciate your patience as crews continue making repairs.

Outage Update 9/3 7PM:

High winds and storms moving through the area are causing widespread power outages affecting customers in and around the Collinwood area.

CPP crews are responding as conditions allow and working to restore service safely.

If you see a downed power line, stay away and call 9-1-1 immediately. Do not approach or touch downed wires.

“Our garden is more than just a community garden. It is a family garden.”

That spirit is at the heart of the City’s revamped Summer Sprout program, where growing food becomes a way to grow community.

For decades, Summer Sprout has helped Cleveland residents transform vacant city-owned lots into vibrant neighborhood gardens.

Through Summer Sprout, residents receive access to land, resources, and education to grow fresh produce and flowers in spaces across Cleveland.

A community garden can become a place to harvest tomatoes, teach a child where food comes from, share a recipe with a neighbor, or simply spend a summer afternoon together.

At its heart, Summer Sprout is about connecting people through a shared love of food, nature, and one another.

The City of Cleveland, Department of Parks and Recreation will extend the hours of several Neighborhood Resource and Recreation Centers (NRCC) to serve as cooling centers for Cleveland residents that are seeking shelter from the warm temperatures expected in the coming days.

Yesterday, One World Day brought together thousands of people from across Northeast Ohio to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States. This anniversary was celebrated by recognizing the generations of immigrants whose courage, cultures, and contributions have helped shape our nation, our region, and our city.

Thank you to the Cleveland Cultural Gardens and everyone who helped make this year’s celebration so special.

We are proud to be a city that embraces diversity, promotes equity and inclusion, and recognizes the strength that comes from bringing people and cultures together.

Cleveland City Services in Action.

Across Cleveland, City government is moving quickly to deliver improvements where residents live, walk, bike, and drive.

As part of Mayor Bibb’s goal to make Cleveland streets safer, the City recently completed safety improvements along Bridge Avenue between West 25th and West 65th Streets. The project added new roundabouts, crosswalks, and clearer corners to slow vehicle speeds and reduce crashes.

The work was completed entirely in-house using quick-build materials like paint, signage, and rubber curbing, allowing the City to make meaningful safety improvements quickly.

216 units in the 216. And we’re just getting started.

Last year, we launched the Cleveland Housing Investment Fund to take a more aggressive approach to creating and preserving affordable housing. Today, that investment is delivering 216 affordable housing units and $53 million in public-private investment across Cleveland.

This progress is possible because of the strong partners who have stepped up alongside us to turn good projects into real homes for Clevelanders.

We’re proud of what we’ve accomplished in one year. And we’re aiming higher.

Clevelanders need more affordable homes, and we’re committed to delivering them.
