***EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY***

A BURN BAN has been issued for the City of Clever on behalf of the City of Clever and Clever Fire Protection District. This is due to the dry conditions in the area. This means you cannot have any outdoor fires, including yard waste, until the ban has been lifted. This does not include a BBQ Grill or Smoker type equipment with all sides enclosed, although we do recommend having a water hose close by when you are using that equipment. This ban DOES include any type of fire pit or any other recreational fires.

This ban will continue until further notice until weather conditions improve. Thank you for your support and understanding.

🚧 Well… you know what they say about plans! 🚧

As we all know, things change — especially when road work is involved! The resurfacing project on Inman and McKnight has been pushed back a bit and will now begin Monday, September 14th.

Same project, same plan, just a new start date!

We appreciate everyone rolling with the changes and being patient while we get these roads some much-needed TLC. Because apparently even road construction likes to keep us on our toes. 😅

The City of Clever is hosting a FOOD DRIVE benefiting Least of These throughout the month of September!

We’re asking our amazing community to help us collect non-perishable food items for local families in need.

Every can, box, bag, and jar adds up. Whether you donate one item or a whole cart full, it makes a difference! Let’s show them what our little town can do when we come together. 💙

Clever may be small, but our hearts sure aren’t. Share this post, spread the word, and let’s see just how much food we can collect for Least of These!

CREWS WILL NOW BEGIN WORK THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 3RD. PLEASE WATCH OUT FOR CREWS DURING SCHOOL TIMES. THEY WILL BE DIRECTING TRAFFIC TO MAKE SURE THINGS GO SMOOTHLY FOR DROP OFF AND PICK UP.

Clever residents, we have some road work coming your way! 🛣️

🏫 **The school has also been notified** of the upcoming project in case the work creates a situation where the lines are a little slower for school drop-offs and pick-ups.

📬 **We will also be placing a flyer like the one attached on the doors of all residents directly impacted by the work on Inman and McKnight** so everyone has the information they need ahead of the project.

We know road work can be inconvenient, and we truly appreciate everyone's **patience and cooperation** while this project is underway. ❤️

🚧 HELP US WELCOME COLTON TO THE CITY OF CLEVER PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT! 🚧

We’re excited to introduce Colton, the newest addition to our Public Works crew! 👋💪

We tried to get a nice, clean “first day” picture of him (Monday)… but apparently Colton had already been working all day by the time we remembered to take the picture. 😂
So yes, that is his already-dirty, been-getting-things-done-all-day look. We’ll take that as a good sign! 👏😆

If you see Colton out and about working around Clever, be sure to say hi and welcome him to the awesome City of Clever! 👋

And before anyone asks… NO, you do NOT have to have a beard to work in Public Works. 😂 It just so happens that all three of our guys have a red beard! 🧔🏻‍♂️🧔🏻‍♂️🧔🏻‍♂️
Apparently, the beard is not a requirement… just a very strong hiring trend. Just joking😂

🚨 SOLICITORS IN CLEVER TODAY! ROUND 3🚨

Hey Clever! 👋 Just a friendly heads-up before you answer that doorbell!

🐜 Palisade Pest Control will be going door-to-door TODAY ONLY — August 19, from 12:00 PM–8:00 PM.

McKenzie, Shayla, and Aubury will be out making their rounds around town. 🏡

They’ve completed all the steps required by the City and have the proper documentation with them. If you’d like to see it, just ask! 📄👍

And remember… you don’t have to answer the door just because the doorbell rings. 😂 But if you do, please use your best judgment and stay safe!

So, if you see three friendly faces wandering around Clever today, don’t panic — it’s not an invasion… unless the ants have finally organized. 🐜😂
