The timing couldn’t be better. Reclaim that garage and basement before football season kicks off! Clear the clutter, make room for the TV, the cooler and the questionable amount of game-day food.

🚨 THE PARK IS OPEN! THE PARK IS OPEN! 🚨

After approximately 798 floods this season, Cleves Community Park has once again been cleaned, scrubbed, sanitized and put back together.

At this point, our Service guys could probably get recruited for flood cleanup. I’m also pretty sure they have zero interest.

But seriously, our Service Department guys are pros at this point. Mud, debris, floodwater, cleanup, repeat. They’ve worked their tails off getting the park cleaned up and ready for everyone again.

🥎 AND JUST IN TIME!

We have a great softball tournament happening this weekend, so come out, enjoy the park, catch some softball and take advantage of it while you can!

Because judging by this year so far, our 17th “1,000-year flood” of the year should be arriving any day now.

🚨 TOMORROW NIGHT - GRAVELRAMA TAKES OVER CLEVES! 🏁

One of our community’s favorite traditions rolls through the Village tomorrow evening!

The Gravelrama Parade steps off at 6:30 PM, so grab a chair, find a spot along the route, bring the family, and come enjoy the evening with us.

🔄 And don’t forget, we’re running the parade in reverse this year!

Well… not in reverse. Just backwards from the traditional route. We definitely don’t trust these things in reverse. 😂🏁

🍔🍻 While you’re here, make an evening of it! Stop into one of our great local restaurants or bars, grab a bite to eat, enjoy a refreshing beverage, and check out some of the exciting developments beginning to take shape around the Village!

🏘️ And stay tuned! We’re going to want YOUR ideas!

As the Village works through our Planning & Revitalization Master Plan, there will be opportunities for the community to help shape what comes next.

We’ll be looking for your input on façade designs, streetscape improvements, decorations, attractions, gathering spaces and maybe even an extremely large shade and entertainment canopy 👀🎶

After all, we’re going to need somewhere for a little Music on Miami… 🎸🎤

PUBLIC NOTICE: CONNERSVILLE WASTEWATER RELEASE DID NOT IMPACT CLEVES COMMUNITY PARK

The Village of Cleves is aware of information circulating publicly suggesting that a recent wastewater release in Connersville, Indiana may have impacted Cleves Community Park.

That information is incorrect.

This morning, the Village directly confirmed with the Hamilton County Health Commissioner that the Connersville wastewater release had no impact on Cleves Community Park.

We understand that reports involving wastewater and public health can understandably cause concern. For that reason, it is important that information of this nature is verified before being presented to the public as fact.

For additional geographic context, Cleves Community Park is approximately 1.4 miles upstream of the Whitewater River.

The recent conditions and closure at Community Park were associated with local flooding, not the Connersville wastewater release. As we have communicated previously, the Village is completing its normal post-flood cleanup and safety procedures before reopening the park.

We appreciate residents who reached out with questions and gave us the opportunity to verify the information directly with our public health officials.

🚨 GRAVELRAMA PARADE UPDATE – WEDNESDAY, 8/26/26 🚨

🔄 We’re pulling an UNO Reverse this year!

Thanks to the ongoing bridge construction, the Gravelrama Parade route is changing direction this year. Please take a minute to review the new route and traffic information before heading out Wednesday evening.

🕡 PARADE BEGINS AT 6:30 PM

The parade will begin at Mt. Nebo Road & South Miami Avenue, travel northbound on Miami Avenue, turn onto Cooper Avenue, and end near the Three Rivers Campus.

🎈 NEW STAGING LOCATION

Parade floats and participants will stage at Cleves Community Park. Prior to the parade, participants will travel from the park via Lower River Road to Mt. Nebo Road before lining up for the start.

⚠️ EXPECT CONSIDERABLE TRAFFIC DELAYS

Road closures will begin at approximately 6:15 PM and are expected to remain in place until approximately 7:30 PM.

Major closures include:

East State Road / Bridgetown Road
North Miami Avenue
South Miami Avenue
Cooper Avenue
South Miami Avenue at Mt. Nebo Road

🚧 WESTGATE / COLEMAN WOODS ACCESS

The service gate connecting the Westgate and Coleman Woods subdivisions will open at 5:30 PM to provide alternate access during the event.

Please plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and avoid the parade route if you are not attending.

And remember: Gravelrama + bridge construction = UNO Reverse. 🔄 Same great tradition, just coming at you from the other direction this year!

The water has receded, and Cleanup 3.0 has officially begun at Cleves Community Park!

Our goal is to have the park cleaned up and ready to reopen by August 28, 2026. As always, Mother Nature gets the final say, and additional weather or flooding could delay or change those plans.

There is a lot of work ahead. Cleanup efforts include:

• Disinfecting playground equipment, benches, and other play and sitting surfaces
• Spraying and cleaning roadways and access drives
• Removing debris left behind by the floodwaters
• Cutting and clearing larger debris
• Restriping and preparing the fields
• Mowing and edging throughout the park
• Hauling in new and updated field dirt
• General cleanup and restoration throughout the property

A huge thank you to our ever-resilient Service Department crew, who take on these cleanup efforts on top of all their normal responsibilities throughout our community. Flood cleanup is no small task, and we greatly appreciate their hard work and commitment to getting our park back in shape.

Thank you for your patience and support as we tackle Cleanup 3.0 and work toward getting Cleves Community Park safely reopened!

🚨Cleves Community Park is closed until further notice due to flooding.

For the third separate time this year, Cleves Community Park has received substantial flooding due to recent rainfall and storms in the region.

We understand this is frustrating for our community and appreciate everyone’s understanding. We will share updates as more information becomes available and when clean up efforts will begin.

What a day.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate America’s 250th with us. Your support means more than you’ll ever know.

We won’t lie… Mother Nature definitely had her own plans for the grand finale. If you told us six months ago we’d be launching the biggest fireworks show this area’s ever seen in the middle of a torrential downpour, we would have laughed.

Instead, hundreds of you sat through a bone-soaking rainstorm and watched every shell go up anyway. We honestly don’t know whether to thank you or question your judgment… but it was one hell of a memory.

Truth be told, the rain became part of today’s story. Years from now, we won’t just remember the fireworks, we’ll remember that one time we all stood shoulder to shoulder, absolutely drenched, looking up anyway. Somehow, that made the night even more memorable.

Thank you to every volunteer, sponsor, vendor, performer, first responder, village employee, committee member, and every single person who helped make today possible. Events like this don’t happen because of one person, they happen because an entire community shows up.

Today, Cleves showed exactly who we are.

Thank you for making this a celebration we’ll never forget. Here’s hoping the next fireworks show comes with a little less water.
