The Clewiston Parks & Recreation Department's Dad + Me = Reel Fun event was a wonderful success!

On June 11, families gathered at the Youth Center to celebrate Father's Day through a fun and creative evening of crafts, laughter, and quality time together. Participants created fishing-themed Father's Day coloring magnets, giving children the opportunity to make a special keepsake for the fathers and father figures in their lives.

We extend our sincere thanks to all the families who participated and helped make this event so special. As we celebrate Father's Day, we also recognize and appreciate all fathers, grandfathers, father figures, and families throughout our community who contribute to making America's Sweetest Town such a wonderful place to live, work, and raise a family.

The City of Clewiston also thanks the Parks & Recreation Department for continuing to provide outstanding programs and activities for residents of all ages. Their dedication to offering a diverse calendar of events helps strengthen community connections and ensures there are opportunities for recreation, learning, and engagement throughout the year.

Yesterday, June 10, 2026, the Clewiston Public Library's Shark Teeth & Fossils Workshop was a tremendous success!

We were excited to welcome approximately 117 children and 40 adults for an afternoon of hands-on learning, creativity, and discovery. Participants had the opportunity to explore real fossils and shark teeth while learning about Florida’s fascinating prehistoric past. Attendees also enjoyed creating their own sand and fossil art projects to take home.

The City of Clewiston extends its appreciation to Arts & Agriculture for partnering with us to provide this engaging educational experience for our community.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make this event such a success. We look forward to seeing you at future programs and activities at the Clewiston Public Library.

Congratulations to the Clewiston Public Library staff on hosting another outstanding community program and continuing to provide educational and enriching opportunities for residents of all ages.

Have you ever wanted to build your own musical instrument?

The Clewiston Public Library invites teens and adults to participate in our Build a Ukulele Workshop on June 17 at 3:30 PM. This free, hands-on program gives participants the opportunity to create their own ukulele while learning about the instrument and the craftsmanship behind it.

Space is limited, and registration is required. This program is open to ages 13 and up.

Get ready for World Cup excitement right here in Clewiston—this event is tomorrow!

The Hendry County Sheriff’s Office is partnering with the Clewiston Public Library to host a FIFA World Cup 2026 Watch Party featuring Mexico vs. South Africa on Thursday, June 11.

Join us at the library and experience the World Cup excitement as a community. Bring the family and enjoy an afternoon of soccer, snacks, games, activities, coloring sheets, and community fun as we cheer on the action together.

The watch party begins at 2:00 PM, with the match kicking off at 3:00 PM.

This free community event is open to everyone and is a great opportunity to celebrate the world’s game with friends, neighbors, and fellow fans.

We look forward to seeing you at the Clewiston Public Library for an afternoon of World Cup excitement.

Play ball! Join us today as All-Star Tournament baseball returns to Clewiston for the first time in years. The 8–10 Baseball District Tournament begins June 10 and continues June 11 (June 12 if needed) on Field 4.

The City of Clewiston is proud to welcome tournament play back to our community. This accomplishment reflects the hard work and dedication of our Parks & Recreation Department and City staff, who have worked tirelessly to maintain and improve our athletic facilities to meet tournament hosting standards.

We look forward to welcoming players, coaches, families, and visitors to Clewiston and showcasing our community throughout the tournament season.

The City of Clewiston is very excited and actively making all necessary preparations to celebrate America’s 250th Birthday with an incredible patriotic celebration on July 4. This year’s event will feature a parade, vendors, DJs, family activities, fireworks, and much more. We look forward to welcoming everyone from across the Glades and Lake Region to celebrate America in Clewiston.

A heartfelt thank you to all vendors who are registering and to everyone working behind the scenes to help bring this upcoming 4th of July celebration together.

Those interested can still register to participate in the parade and proudly showcase their patriotism and organizational pride, and we are still welcoming additional vendors to be part of this community event.
