In observance of Labor Day, Clewiston City Hall, the Youth Center, and the Public Library will be closed on Monday, September 7, 2026. Regular hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8, 2026.

Due to the Labor Day holiday, residential waste collection will be adjusted as follows:

Monday’s collection will be moved to Tuesday, and Tuesday’s collection will be moved to Wednesday. The remainder of the week will remain on the normal schedule.

As we approach Labor Day, the City of Clewiston wishes everyone a safe and enjoyable holiday as we recognize and celebrate the contributions of American workers.

Hard work has always been an important part of Clewiston’s story. From the early days of clearing land and building the infrastructure that connected our communities, to the generations of hardworking individuals in agriculture, ranching, business, and other industries, the dedication and resilience of our community have helped shape the Clewiston we know today.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Labor Day.

Proud of our history. Proud of our hardworking community. Proudly rural.

As we approach Labor Day, we recognize the generations of hardworking people whose dedication to agriculture, ranching, and other industries has helped shape the character and history of our community.

Today, we remain proud of the traditions and industries that built Clewiston and continue to keep that heritage alive. From the fields and ranches that surround our community to the generations of families who have called this area home, our rural roots remain an important part of who we are.

Proudly rural. Proudly preserving tradition.

For 65 years, the Charles E. Wetherald Youth Center has been a place for Clewiston’s youth and families to come together. Since opening its doors in 1961, the Youth Center has played an important role in providing opportunities for recreation, activities, events, and community connection.

Today, the City of Clewiston Parks & Recreation Department continues that commitment by offering programs and activities for residents of all ages, while managing professionally maintained parks and facilities throughout the community.

The City offers nine parks for residents and visitors to enjoy, along with a variety of facilities available for community use and private rentals, including chikees, auditoriums, meeting rooms, and more. Whether you are looking for recreation, planning an event, or simply searching for a place to gather, our goal is to provide spaces and opportunities where our community can grow, connect, and enjoy time together.

Regardless of your event or recreational needs, the Clewiston Parks & Recreation Department is here to help make our community a place where there is room to learn, grow, gather, and have fun.
