Last night, we received new bunker gear. This gear is a major upgrade over our previous gear which was all over 25 years old. The new gear will protect us during our trainings and emergency calls. We owe a major thank you to the Flatrock Township trustee, Lisa Moore, and the Flatrock Township trustee board for finding the funding to make this possible. Thank you all for all of your support.

The final numbers are in, and the turnout of the drive-thru fish fry was beyond anything we imagined. We took 540 orders. We cooked 975 lbs of fish, 100 lbs of tenderloin, 175 lbs of onion rings, and 250 lbs of french fries. These numbers are outstanding, and we thank the entire community for the support. We would like to especially thank the following community members for volunteering their time so the event was possible: Scott Moore, Lisa Moore, Tyler Moore, Mechelle Drum, Chris Bruer, Christi Bruer, Lance Bruer, Brian Singer, Jessica Mize, Ellen Harker, and Savannah Barrett. Without all their hard work, none of this would be possible. Also, a big thank you to Milestone for allowing us to borrow the orange cones in order to keep the traffic organized and flowing. Thanks again!

Corn Maze Beer Fest

Corn Maze Beer Fest 2020 Update:

After months of careful and deliberate consideration, it is with a heavy heart that we must announce we have made the decision to cancel this year’s 5th Annual Corn Maze Beer Fest. We are very disappointed that we are unable to hold this event for our supporters, but the health and safety of our staff, customers, volunteers, and vendors is of the utmost importance to us. You better believe it when we say Corn Maze Beer Fest 2021 will be the best one yet. Take care of yourselves🍻🍻

Please see the post below for updated polling locations for the June Primary. While we are a little disappointed not to be hosting a site on June 2nd, we completely support all of the Election Board's decisions in an effort to keep the Primary Election as safe as possible. We wish the best of luck to all candidates on the ballot. Thanks!

Dear Voter,

Here is the official Election Day and early absentee in-person locations map for the 2020 Primary. The Election Board did have to reduce our locations from sixteen to eight, due to half of our poll workers dropping out due to COVID-19. Also, we have had some locations back out of being vote centers as well. The Bartholomew County Election Board used previous election voter turnout data to decide which locations to utilize for the Primary. We wish we could use all of our locations and I sincerely apologize if your location near your home is not a location for the Primary. Please remember, you can vote at any location on this map or by mail (indianavoters.com to submit absentee application by the May 21st deadline). These limited locations are only for this Primary due to the virus.

Also, the courthouse WILL NOT be an early in-person location for this election due to the building still being limited to the public. Donner Center will have absentee in-person voting starting on Tuesday, May 26th - Saturday, May 30th, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Absentee in-person voting will also be on Monday, June 1st from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Donner.

Please be sure to let your voices be heard and get out and vote. If you have any questions, please call us at (812) 379-1604. Thank you and please take care!

With the news of the primary election being pushed back to June 2nd, we have made the decision to extend the unavailability of Harold Capper Hall indefinitely. We will continue to monitor the situation and update as soon as we can. Thank you all for your understanding and support.

We are still continuing to make emergency runs, and that will not change during this time.

03/17/2020

After careful consideration, we have made the decision to cancel the fish fry scheduled for April 25th. We have done this with best interests of the public's health and wellness in mind along with recommendations from the CDC and the governor.

Along with this, Harold Capper Hall will not be available for rent or any public use through April 10th. In the interim, we will be evaluating the COVID situation to determine a better timeline.

We do want to assure everyone that our department will still be responding to any emergency calls as normal.

Thank you for supporting Clifford Volunteer Fire Department. We look forward to seeing all of you soon.

In light of the recent activities around COVID-19, we are continuing to prioritize the safety and health of our attendees, exhibitors, customers, and staff above all else. We are postponing FDIC International and are in conversations with the Indiana Convention Center and Convention & Visitors Bureau for new dates and we ask that you bear with us as we evaluate all opportunities.

We are in communication with the local and state authorities to ensure we are following all guidelines for the event. I know, that we are certainly not alone as many of you are also facing difficult situations in the communities you live in and serve.

In the following days we will have more information to share with you and will reach out to you at that time. As always, I appreciate your support of FDIC. If you have any questions or concerns now, please do talk to a member of our team. #FDIC2020
