🌪️📢 New Tornado Sirens 🌪️📢

We are excited to announce the installation of two new tornado sirens within our fire coverage area, this includes one next the Clifford Fire Department on Depot Street in Clifford and the other next to the St. Louis Crossing Independent Church off 800 North. These will be operational in the near future once Duke Energy completes wiring installation.

Thank you Flat Rock Township Trustee Lisa Moore for making this purchase for the community of Clifford and Flatrock Township.

Reminder outdoor warning sirens are designed to alert those who are outdoors, although some residents may hear alerts while indoors depending on proximity to siren, sirens should never be your only source of emergency information. Have more than one way to receive emergency alerts!

This morning, the Clifford Fire Department responded to a vehicle fire located approximately 10 feet from a residence and next to a secondary vehicle. Upon arrival, units discovered the vehicle's cab was fully engulfed. The fire was quickly extinguished, resulting in no fire extension to the residence or other vehicle. Huge thank you to German Township Volunteer Fire Department and Hope Volunteer Fire Department for your quick response and help!

🚨We are super excited to announce that our department recently received $10,000 in grant funding from Duke Energy for the purchase of 3 new mobile (truck) radios.

This upgrade not only replaces our 20-year-old mobile radios but also ensures our department has operational mobile radios following the upcoming update to the 911 system, which will render our old mobile radios inoperable.
