🚨We are super excited to announce that our department recently received $10,000 in grant funding from Duke Energy for the purchase of 3 new mobile (truck) radios.

This upgrade not only replaces our 20-year-old mobile radios but also ensures our department has operational mobile radios following the upcoming update to the 911 system, which will render our old mobile radios inoperable.

Huge thank you to Duke Energy and Sam with VEI Communications for making this possible!!

🔥 New hose and new nozzles!
We recently received grant funding through the Hawcreek Flat Rock Emdowment which provided our firefighters with a new HEN nozzle and a 50 ft section of 3 inch hydrant hose (not pictured)

After which, we decided to purchase a new Viper smooth bore nozzle and also replace our approximately 25 year old 1 3/4 inch attack hose with 400 ft of KEY 1 3/4 inch attack hose. Supplying enough hose for both preconnected crosslays.

This combination of new hose and nozzles provides firefighters with:
- Safer interior operations
- More reliable water delivery and faster suppression
- Less firefighter fatigue
- Reducing the chance of equipment failure during emergency operations.
