We hear it every week:
“Can someone come trap these cats?”
”𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗱𝗼 𝗜 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝗽𝗮𝘆? 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗜 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗜 𝗱𝗼𝗻’𝘁 𝘄𝗮𝗻𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘃𝗲. ”

We understand.
Most people don’t realize what goes into TNR they just think it should be “free” and that someone else can handle it.

But here’s the truth:
That “free” service you’re asking for?
𝗜𝘁’𝘀 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸.

Every trap, every can of food, every drop of gas costs someone. 𝙏𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙨, flea treatments, 𝙙𝙚𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙚𝙧, 𝙩𝙪𝙣𝙖, 𝙘𝙖𝙩 𝙛𝙤𝙤𝙙, 𝙜𝙖𝙨, 𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙣 𝙥𝙪𝙥𝙥𝙮 𝙥𝙖𝙙𝙨 to line traps none of it appears out of thin air.

Each “free” TNR job costs hundreds of dollars before we even count the 𝙝𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙙𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙛𝙚𝙚𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙘𝙡𝙚𝙖𝙣𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 returning.

And behind every “free” service are real people.
Volunteers washing soiled traps in their driveways.
Loading and unloading scared ferals before sunrise.
Skipping dinners and losing sleep to make sure those cats get trapped, fixed, vaccinated, and safely returned.

This isn’t a hobby it’s hard, messy, emotional, draining, real work.

“Free” doesn’t mean easy. It means someone else is paying the price.
Through their time.
Through their gas tank.
Through their weekend.
Through their heart.

So next time someone says, “𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗺𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀,” 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻’𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿𝘀 𝗲𝗶𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿. 𝗧𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗰𝗮𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝗱𝗻’𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗯𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲. Someone let it get to this point, and 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 need to 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗶𝘁 𝗿𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁.

Here is Pearl. Pearl is A local Feral from Clifford that so many of our friends who frequent the Hangar Sales have helped to support! Your donations, no matter how large or small are huge to our mission of saving one or two or three lives at a time! Also pictured are the ditch triplets from June! These guys were 3 weeks old and we saved them through kitty distemper ( the deadly parvo disease!) If you rounded up change on purchases, donated items for sale for the kitties, donated food and recently a lady in line at Walmart saw all the cat food I was buying and asked what I was doing with it, when I was leaving she gave me a donation for the kitty food and thanked me! People are amazing and love animals, and we thank God for them too, for without them we would not be able to do what we do as much! We thank you for the kitties! Many items may be purchased at Main Street Country Store in Clifford to help with the Funny Farm Rescue. Donations of salable items are welcome to keep our mission going! Thank you!

The end of the season is rolling up! We will get in as many sales as the weather permits, and the treasures keep coming in! Come on out of the weather and find your gently used or new treasure, a favorite book, beautiful wall art, cookware, special tool or home decor! We have vintage tools, purses ,clothing and toys. Outdoor vendors welcome. Saturday Pumpkin contest! The prettiest natural pumpkin and the coolest painted or carved pumpkin. Entry fee is $5.00 contribution to the Funny Farm. There will be prizes given to winners. Pumpkins must be here by 1 pm on Saturday for 3 o'clock judging. The hangar is filled with all kinds of unique treasures! We have beautiful mums in assorted colors for sale! Halloween costumes are 50 % off!

Who wants a Pumpkin Challenge? $ On Saturday October 4. Enter your prettiest not carved pumpkin or a carved or painted pumpkin with happy face or design. (No Spooky!) A $5. Entry fee for each pumpkin entered. $20.00 gift certificate will be awarded for each winner. There will be 1 winner per contest. Pumpkins must arrive by noon on Saturday. Winner will be picked at 3 pm. At the Hangar.

We would like to thank all who came out this weekend to visit, share memories , or find treasures at this great historical property! Also we thank those who donated to the Funny Farm throughout the season ! We really appreciate every single one of you ! Every one of you help to make the Hangar a very special place and experience for everyone! The Hangar was a very special gathering place all the years my Father ran the airport! We feel the love, friendship and camaraderie so similar to that of 50 years ago! The laughter, the stories and friendship is so important to us in these trying times. Good morning! Well you don't have to be a tv host to have a funny story!(That is for sure!) But this is mine, and I'm owning it, and have the wet panties to prooove it! I was out in my nightie sweeping up the leaves on the patio, minding my own business, after letting the kitties out for their morning business before their breakfast. It's a little nippy out but brave me, (or actually stupid) enough to not bother putting a robe on before going outside! Anyway, suddenly I felt this powerful spray of freezing COLD water spray up my bottom parts and it was SOOO cold I couldn't even scream at whoever was shaking cold water off themselves! When I looked to see who it was who just gave me a standing sits bath, I see I am standing on the water hose sprayer! OooooKKAAYY , that's the start to MY day! Now, does that count as a shower, even if it's freezing COLD? How's you day going? Let me know at the hangar Sale! See ya there!
