Annual Hose & Ladder Testing
Today we spent the day getting our annual hose and ground ladder testing done.
It’s one of those things that happens behind the scenes, but it’s an important part of keeping our equipment ready. Our hose gets pressure tested and our ladders are inspected and load tested to make sure everything is still in good working condition.
We do this every year because our equipment gets used, moved around, exposed to the weather, and put through some pretty tough conditions. Testing gives us a chance to find a damaged hose, bad coupling, cracked ladder, or other problem before we need that piece of equipment on an actual call.
When someone calls 911, we need to know that the equipment coming off the truck is going to work the way it’s supposed to.
A big thank you to everyone who helped get everything pulled, tested, and put back in service today.
Another yearly job checked off the list and another step toward staying ready for the next call.
